Easy to throw on and go and great for transition. Outfit Linked HERE| Lawson’s Dress is from THIS POST. Our next Fall adventure was taking on the Dallas Arboretum! Typically dressed down, I loved adding a few accessories to it to take it up a notch Shop the entire look HERE Instastories: Last weekend I saw T-Swift in concert when the Reputation Tour was here in Dallas! She put on a great show and it was so so much fun! I also feel like you can really go all out with an outfit at a Taylor Swift concert, so I happily obliged. Large velvet pumpkins are from At Home and the smaller ones are from Target. Shop the cons0le table HERE. Link Love: Bought this bag yesterday and am just a touch bit obsessed! It SO lightweight and easy to sling on your shoulder and head out of the door! While I wouldn’t spend a ton on a statement bag, I did a happy dance when I saw that this one was only $58!!! Leopard Shoulder Bag Loved this plaid peplum…would wear it with black skinnies or fun flares! Peplum Top I don’t normally love rainboots, but slap some leopard print on them and I’m head over heels! Adding these to my wishlist ASAP!!!! Leopard Hunter Boots LA TRIP RECAP: Two weeks ago I shared some HUGE news that I was going to be collaborating with one of my favorite brands to launch a line of Holiday wear at Nordstrom!!! Pinch me! Read all of the initial details HERE. Last week we all flew out to L.A. to photograph the line for the Nordstrom website (is this real life?!) and I wanted to share a short recap of our trip here! First off, I got to fly with this cutie and Sheaffer! Since we all live relatively close to each other, Cassie’s hubs so kindly offered to take us the the airport. Naturally, we both showed up in our favorite Gibson sweater and had to document it. I love how it can be styled so many different ways! I am so thankful for these girls and their friendship. Its been a huge blessing to have them nearby and not only to I admire how amazing they are as professionals, but they also keep me laughing and I am so happy to call them friends! Cassie blogs at Hi Sugarplum | Sheaffer blogs at Sheaffer Told me To Shop my full travel outfit HERE Upon arriving in L.A., we headed straight downtown and to the Gibson showroom where we met up with the entire GibsonXGlam crew! It was humbling to be a part of this crew–every woman in this photo is so hardworking, driven and brings something unique to the table. Second from the left at top is Suzie and she’s the founder of Gibson. She’s SUCH an inspiration and one of the most fun things about this has been getting to know her and her vision behind the brand. She’s always been in retail (in fact, we have a similar path in the industry) and hearing her success story behind Gibson amazing. If you get to know anything about her, get to know that she believes in YOU. She took a chance and partnered with influencers because she believes that we reach women in a unique way (which is something that most brands don’t appreciate and/or value). During the entire shoot, she just kept saying how happy it made her knowing that we were styling these clothes and would be reaching women all across the country and helping them to look and feel their best for the Holidays all in Gibson clothes. It was such a good perspective and I’m super proud to partner with a brand that not only believes in MY brand but really believes in and values my readers (aka YOU) as much as I do! Here’s the whole crew! Make sure to check out their blogs, all are amazing! Bottom L to R: Megan from Honey We’re Home, Dede of Dress Up Buttercup, Cassie from Hi Sugarplum, Sheaffer from Sheaffer Told me To, Erin of Living in Yellow Top L to R: Rachel of Pinteresting Plans, Suzie from Gibson, Ashley from Fancy Ashley, ME, Tara of Jimmy Choos and Tennis Shoes After our meeting at the showroom, we stayed at a gorgeous home right off of Melrose, where we would stay for the next few days. We walked in and it was decked out in Holiday decor and it gave me all the feels! The house was like something out of MTV cribs, truly gorgeous and a beautiful, modern aesthetic. After regrouping and changing, we heading up to the Nordstrom Local store, which is such a cool concept! The Nordstrom Local concept store provides a personal shopping experience and combines that with personal services like in house tailoring, spa services and a full bar. There’s no dedicated inventory, yet your stylist pulls pieces from other surrounding stores and you are presented with them in a large, comfy fitting room. You can also have merchandise shipped to your Nordstrom Local and drop off your Trunk Club Trunks there too. It was an amazing environment, and if you are more of an experience focused shopper, this is right up your alley! Nordstrom plans to expand this concept in the coming months, too! Me, Ashley, and Erin The Whole Crew! Sheaffer, Me I wore this crossover Gibson top for the event and really loved the fit of it. Not to mention, it’s on sale now and a total steal! I also raved about these pants on my story last night, but I’ll say this here….built in elastic waist!! Shop the entire look HERE After our event, we came home and changed into Pjs! At the last minute, Erin and I decided to hop in an Uber and grab Shake Shak burgers and fries for a late night snack and girl talk amongst the crew!! On Wednesday morning we woke up bright and early and had to be ready by 9am, when the photographers showed up. During the morning we shot more lifestyle images from the line–dressed up, dressed down and worn tons of ways. I think that I shot between 10-15 outfits total to share with you guys, so there will be tons of ways to wear each piece. During the afternoon, Suzie Moldavon and her team kept us glam with hair and makeup for the big shoot for the actual Nordstrom site. If you are in and around LA and need makeup, Suzie is a true genius at her craft. SHE’S SO GOOD! From there we shot our “Signature Pieces” on blank backgrounds to be used on the site. It was fun (and a little out of my comfort zone), but I’m excited to see how they all turned out. After 12 full hours of shooting (literally my face hurt from smiling so much), we all sat down to a beautiful dinner together. It was such an honor to be a part of this with so many talented women and getting to know them all better was the icing on the cake. I truly cannot wait to show you guys this line. I promise (even if I wasn’t involved in this collaboration!) I would want every single piece for the Holidays. Think sequins, lace, velvet and beautiful silhouettes! Stay tuned, we launch on Nordstrom.com on NOVEMBER 12th!!!!!!!!! Thank you all for following along on our LA adventure and joining me here on this Friday! We are packing up to head home to Louisiana this weekend for the LSU vs Georgia game and I couldn’t be more excited! Make sure to follow along on stories, it will be a very fun weekend! Follow on Instagram HERE. Have a great weekend, y’all!
