Gibson X Glam | Our Collaboration with Gibson + Nordstrom! September 30, 2018 | Y’all this is one of the most exciting posts that I’ve ever written! After months of keeping it under wraps, I can finally shout from the rooftops that I am collaborating with Gibson to launch Gibson x Glam a line of glam Holiday attire at Nordstrom! AT NORDSTROM, you guys!!! A pinch me moment that I could have never even dreamed up! Here are the details: What is Gibson X Glam? Gibson X Glam is a gorgeous line of Holiday apparel that can take you from casual to cocktail this Holiday season. Think lace, sequins, and gorgeous velvets cut into silhouettes that are functional for your lifestyle. I have the full line here in Dallas with me and I am here to tell you that it’s absolutly beautiful and all are pieces that I KNOW you guys will love. Why Gibson? I vividly remember buying my first Gibson top, many many moons ago. It was from Nordstrom at Northpark in Dallas and it was probably one of the first times that I’d ever shopped at Nordstrom (moving to Texas from Louisiana after college, Nordstrom was all new to me). The top was emerald green with a pretty purple pattern running through it and it was one of those tops that just fit right. I wore the heck out of it for YEARS and got compliments on it each time. Silly story, but I’ve really liked the brand ever since. Fast forward to now blogging and it’s truly a brand that I love sharing with you guys since they consistently offer a fantastic selection of elevated basics that are perfect for busy women! Safe to say I share Gibson almost weekly on the blog, so it was a natural fit to collaborate with them on such a fun project! Here are some recent Gibson favs: My Current Favorite Sweater (See it styled two ways in THIS post) L: Convertible Wrap Sweater R: Convertible Cowl Neck Sweater (currently on sale) This knot front sweater was one of the very top sellers from all of last year and one of my favorite pieces in last Fall’s Capsule Wardrobe! I ended up loving it so much that I bought it in blush, too! …and we all remember how amazing their collaboration was with my friend, Cassie?!?! Still some of my favorite pieces! See that post HERE! What is the process like? It’s been SO much fun! Gibson has been very hands on and what was so important to me is that they wanted to know about YOU. They wanted to know not only what I liked and would wear, but collectively it was important that we designed something that would get YOU GUYS excited for the Holidays. We looked at what sold well last season, what kind of Holiday styles you guys tend to gravitate towards and also really focused on functionality for my specific audience when creating this. There’s nothing that I want more than to present you guys with a beautiful, functional and affordable piece that you can feel confident in this Holiday season! Once we had the styles narrowed down, Gibson really let us hone in on the details, which was so much fun! Now that the entire line is finalized (there are over 40 pieces, y’all!), we head to LA this week to photograph it FOR THE NORDSTROM WEBSITE. Pinch me, again!!! Some of these girls are my real life friends and others I’m excited to meet for the first time, but what they all have in common is that they are all amazing, driven, and incredibly talented ladies! I’m not quite sure how I landed amongst such a fantastic group, but I am so so thankful to whomever fat fingered my name onto this list! Make sure to follow us all on Instagram and Instagram stories as we head to LA this week to photograph the line! WHAT DOES THE LINE LOOK LIKE??!? I can’t give away too many details right now but here are the highlights! The fabrics are beautiful lace, velvets and sequins. My top is VELVET (which was definitely a big request from you guys)! There are over 40 pieces total and I can say with certainty there’s one to fit YOU. There are tons of silhouettes, lengths, fits and details, as it was our goal to be inclusive of women of all shapes. Most of all, I will say that the pieces are functional (I use that word a lot here and it’s because it’s one of my top priorities) for Holiday. I can see most of them working for anything from a neighborhood party, to a school party to a cocktail night out…truly so many ways to wear them! When does it launch? The line launches on Nordstrom.com NOVEMBER 12th!!! Mark your calendars and set your alarms because this will be your one stop Holiday shop! A huge THANK YOU! I’ll probably say it a zillion times over the next two weeks but I mean it more than you know. I am nothing but a hot mess in the trenches of motherhood and without your fierce support, there’s no way I’d be doing things like this. I love this community that we’ve built and it’s truly one of my biggest blessings. Hopefully I can repay the favor in a very small way and have you looking fly for your next Holiday party.
