Cute Fall Sweater Styled Two Ways! September 28, 2018 | Ok ladies, when Nordstrom asked me to style this cute fall sweater for you guys, I knew exactly what I was going to write about. I’m going to preface this by saying, you KNOW a top has to be good for me to write an entire blog post about it! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite sweaters to date, styling it two ways, talking about the AMAZING fabric…oh and it’s under $50! First of all, y’all know I’m a huge fan of Gibson at Nordstrom (ahem, I’m collaborating with them to launch a Holiday line that comes out in November!!!), but part of the reason that I love them so much is because they make tops like this one. I put it on and immediately knew that it would be an absolute go-to in my closet. It’s the perfect fit (a little relaxed, covers the booty and the V Neck hits in the exact spot to make a mama feel confident), it comes in a ton of colors and it’s under $50! As if that wasn’t good enough, it’s made out of the most cozy, lightweight fleece material that’s breathable and buttery all at the same time…I’m serious when I say that it’s comfy enough to sleep in! It’s perfect for Fall transition, but easily layered under or over as the weather continues to cool. I’m confident saying that I see it as a piece that needs to be in EVERY one of your closets! Here’s how I styled it two ways so that you get a feel for just how much the denim + accessories can change up the look and take you from PTA to date night. As with everything Gibson, it runs a touch big but I liked the fit of the small on me. This is a great top to wear now with your white jeans (YES, you CAN wear white jeans through Fall) and pair back to a great neutral bootie. I also love that it’s lightweight enough to layer under a denim jacket… p.s. my favorite white jeans (the ones I’m wearing here) that sold out at the beginning of the Summer are now back in stock. #gofigure V Neck Cozy Fleece (under $50) | White Jeans | Similar Logo Tote | Denim Jacket | Bar Necklace | Sunnies | Earrings | Booties I truly love this look for Fall and wore this exact outfit the other day and got tons of compliments on it. Bright and cheery, but still weather appropriate. For this look, I swapped out the white jeans for a distressed pair of back skinnies and wow did it change the feel. With the belt, it makes the sweater feel a little more edgy and very versatile for a happy hour of casual date night. It’s a little bit slouchy, but the kind of slouchy that makes you feel sexy. Does that even make any kind of sense? So happy because I really did find the best sweater! Catherine says September 28, 2018 at 8:54 AM Loving this (and all of the other gibson sweaters). I had 3 in my cart when I saw the dreaded ‘hand wash’ label. With a new baby, mama has no time for laundry as it is. Do you have any experience with machine washing these? Are there any washing machine friendly similar styles? I’m tried of being stuck in old T-shirts but know hand washing is just not going to happen in this house anytime soon.
Style Your Senses says October 2, 2018 at 11:44 AM Hey girl! Sorry I missed this! NOOOOO ma’am I don’t hand wash ANY thing. Ideally I lay the cozy fleece flat to dry but hand washing is a hard no for me. Definitely not necessary. xoxo
