Mothers Day Gift Guide Part II + A Meaningful Event May 1, 2016 | A rare Sunday post for you guys! I realized that I hadn’t shared Part II of my Mother’s Day Gift Guide (see part one HERE) and wanted you to still have some time to shop, so here you go! This guide is a little more focused on gifts for YOUR mom. Nice treats that she might not buy for herself and a few luxury pampering products. Also, keep reading for more information about a local even I hope you’ll attend with me! JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Two | This Caudalie gel moisturizer gets rave reviews and I’ve loved all of thier products thus far…adding this to my beauty wish list. Three | This Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Souffle Moisturizer is so rich and creamy and definitely a decadent treat for mom. I got my mom something very similar (wink wink) as her Mother’s Day treat…only because she used all of mine when she was here visiting…haha! Four | Mama must have been a good girl this year, because this blush YSL clutch is what dreams are made of! Five | This chic gold frame is the perfect gift for moms, grandmothers, etc. It’s beautiful, stylish, yet understated. Six | These Voluspa candles are my go to gifts and are nice treats for any mama on your list. Seven | You can’t go wrong gifting this simple gold cuff. So on trend and a great summer accessory. Eight | These studded espadrilles are my favorite gift on this list. I absolutely love the style factor, while still being comfortable. Nine | This lightweight summer scarf is a gift you can’t mess up. Something that she will wear nearly year around and in the most on trend color of the season…all at a price point under $40! I never write anything about Mother’s Day without thinking about my sweet friends who no longer have their moms. Our Mom’s should certainly be celebrated, but I can only image what a day like Mother’s Day is like when you don’t have you mama to call or hug or talk to. The emotions of losing a parent are beyond my comprehension… My darling friends Madeline and Josephine here in Charlotte lost their sweet mom to lung cancer and this is what Madeline writes… “As you know this cause, and event, are very important to me and Josephine. Our mom passed away from lung cancer in 2008. She tried many rounds of chemo, radiation and trial drugs, doing anything she could to fight this awful disease. Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer and it doesn’t get enough awareness and recognition. It is our goal to change that…” In honor of these girls and their mom, I hope that you will join me on Thursday, May 12 at Turquoise Tasting, benefitting The American Lung Association. The event will be at the beautiful Duke Mansion and will be an evening full of delicious seasonal food + beverage pairings, a raffle and some acoustic tunes. More information HERE.
