Instagram Roundup

Hi Friends! I hope that you guys had a great weekend! These Instagram roundups are reminding me how fast time is flying by…how in the world is it already MAY???? I’m begging the world to turn slower these days and I’m having a really hard time believing that 2106 is nearly halfway over. While I figure out how to turn back the clock, here’s a look through the lens of Instagram at how we spent the last two weeks…and what we were wearing!

This. Dress. I honestly haven’t gotten this many compliments on an outfit in quite some time and I love every minute of telling people that the dress was only $20! Read below for fit info…

Fit Info for the Dress…

I’m 5’9 and am wearing the size 4. It’s a lot of fabric and very roomy…it fits more like a tent silhouette.

Can I wear it pregnant? YES, great for a bump and you could probably wear it almost all the way through.

Can I wear it if I’m short? If you’re under 5’6, I’d say this one might swallow you.

Can I wear it if I’m tall? YES! This is the dress for you! It would probably be long enough for someone up to 5’11!

Is it lined? Nope, but I wore a tunic cami (like this one) underneath and it was no problem.

This casual outfit was for a fun day out with my girl. One of her absolute favorite things to do in Charlotte is take the train up to uptown and hop off right outside of Daddy’s office. He’s usually there to scoop her up (if you’re on Snap you saw that!) and we head off to a quick lunch. I had no time to wash my hair that day, so I did a side braid and finished my #ootd off with this straw fedora that I’ll be wearing all summer (hint, it’s only $18!)…

It’s kind of embarrassing that I’m wearing the tunic from above in 3 different variations in this post, but honestly when you’re a busy mom and you find something that you love and feel comfortable in and it’s under $50…you buy it in every damn color!

When I told you guys that the stripe tunic that I was wearing below went on sale, you didn’t waste any time buying it up and it’s now sold out but the chambray one above is the same cut and actually comes in a few colors.

My go to outfit when I don’t want to actually think about getting dressed. My motto is to just throw the military vest on top of anything and somehow I feel a little more put together.

You guys. Trust me that you want this tank. This flowy but flattering and the drop armhole allows the perfect amount of a a cute lace bralette to be visible.

This outfit has been a no brainer for me. The cute hat is the very best excuse to skip washing my hair and the striped tank is on major repeat.

One of the things that I love about Charlotte is that in the summers there are SO many outdoor activities for the family. On Friday’s and Saturday’s from now until October there’s live music playing at multiple retail centers around Charlotte. We love grabbing a blanket, a bottle of wine and some dinner at one of the restaurants and kicking our weekend off with a picnic and some tunes.
