New Series: What We Wore

Goodmorning, friends! How is it already Wednesday?! Time is flying by as per usual around here! And really, that’s a perfect segway into a new little series I want to try out on here. This blog has come to mean so much to me…it really is my ultimate creative outlet and I so treasure it for that reason. I can come here and chat about girly beauty products or beaded chandeliers…and you actually read it…and that still amazes me. It’s become very centered around decor and design (which I LOVE, don’t get me wrong), but I think that it’s also missing a few parts. I started this blog to document our lives here in Charlotte and I have failed miserably at doing that. I also started it with the intent of talking more about fashion and trends, which I have also been pretty lame at. So here’s my stab at both…plus some. 

It’s no secret that I find great joy in a good outfit and it’s also no secret that being a mom takes that away from you just a little bit. My options usually are to shower and get dressed OR to feed my child…and, well, I opt for the latter. Needless to say, I want to get back into fashion a bit and feeling more like myself in my clothes. I have also fallen head over heels in love with little girls clothing (le duh!). I feel like at the 12 month size you really go from ugly ugly onesie thing-y to super cute leopard skinnies…and, well, sign me up for baby skinnies. The series will document outfits that LK and I wear, that are def not matching but are somewhat coordinating. I want it to be a way to document how much fun I am having with her right now, I want to watch her curls come in throughout the weeks, and most of all, I want her to have these photos of her and her mommy to tell the story of how much I am head over heels in love with her. Oh, and I think that it would be pretty darn cool to make a book of the images at the end of a year for her to have.  What do you say, you on board?

Disclaimer: We don’t wear designer fashions, so if you’re looking for expensive shiz, you’re in the wrong place. BUT I do shop lots of places and often, so there will surely be some fun bargains showcased for mom and babe.
