Trend Talk With Concord Mills

Yesterday, I teamed up with Concord Mills to ambush some lucky shoppers with Spring Accessory makeovers and boy did I have fun! You guys know that I am passionate about making women feel confident and I totally believe that clothes have the ability to enhance confidence. When we feel good about what we are wearing and how we present ourselves to others, we are naturally more confident. Yes, there’s a ton more to confidence than clothing, but I like to think of it as the icing on the cake. Concord Mills is a North Carolina destination for smart style and their Spring accessory selection certainly doesn’t disappoint. When they asked me to share that fabulous style with a few lucky shoppers, I jumped at the opportunity, especially on Mother’s Day! I was so excited to pass along some fab accessories and hopefully give a few lucky ladies (and one gent!) just the boost they needed to get really excited for Spring. **THERE’S A GIVEAWAY AT THE END OF THIS POST, TOO!!!**

I blindly ambushed randomly selected shoppers (and now know how brutal it is to work that center kiosk, because I got turned down by quite a few people!) and offered to enhance their current looks with some accessories from Concord Mills. Not wanting to push my personal style onto each person, I asked lots of questions about their lifestyle, personal taste and interests before starting the makeover. After getting to know them a little bit, I offered to deck them out…and, well, that’s just fun! Each person was able to walk away with everything I put on them (free of charge!) and most couldn’t believe it! See a few of the makeovers below…

For the first pair of gals, I selected two ladies who happened to be colleagues. One was from Germany and the other lived here locally. They were really hesitant about my promises of free swag, but they ended up being SO much fun! One lady was already wearing a black and white outfit with silver accessories, so I decided to compliment her look with this woven clutch and thick metallic bangle. We all know metallics are a huge trend, but I am having so much fun working metallic silver and gunmetal back into my rotation to mix up my usual gold accessories.

The other gal had a fun floral top on, so I played off of that trend and gave her a few accessories to compliment that beautiful print! Her new red rimmed sunnies and gem stone bracelet stack were fun, but didn’t compete with the print. I also gave her a long metallic gold necklace that she’s sure to wear non-stop this Summer.

For the next ambush, I chose this young mama and her little girl! She described her style as very plain, and not too fussy. She has a 1 year old little boy who loves to pull and tug at any jewelry she wears, so she was overall hesitant to try anything too fragile. We ended up giving her a few stylish basics, like the mixed metal wrap bracelet (made out of wire, so pretty indestructible) and this long gem stone necklace that she can throw on to take any outfit to the next level. Finally, we finished the look with this woven straw tote that’s perfect for pool days or overnight trips to grandma’s and also adds a little pattern to to look.

The little lady left with the most darling denim + pink purse that looked like it was made for her cute maxi dress. She was certainly a happy camper!

The last ambush was this cute couple! The wife is a traveling musician and she gravitated right towards this lightweight backpack. It folds into itself and compacts down so small, which will be perfect for her summer adventures. I completed her travel look with a chic travel jewelry case to ensure that all of her baubles are accounted for.

I gave the Mr. these amazing Brooks Brothers flip flops that have a built in bottle opener!!
