Top Spring Shoe Trends to Think About: Slides Easy to slip on and go slides are popping up everywhere! From super casual (think THESE) to fairly fancy (like THIS Kate Spade pair), they are being worn so many different ways. Turn on your JavaScript to view content Lace-up Sandals My personal favorite trend that is continuing into Summer! I had a pair of suede lace-up sandals last year and literally wore them out…they were nearly identical to THESE. Lace-up sandals have just enough style details to them, and still remain functional and comfortable. They can be worn with nearly anything, especially when you buy them in a great neutral color. Turn on your JavaScript to view content Embellished Sandals Pearls, tassels and poms…oh my! I love the whimsical embellishments that are popping up everywhere. The ones that I chose below are understated and still work as a neutral with most outfits, but definitely have some additional fun elements! THESE are my favs! Turn on your JavaScript to view content Metallics + Mules Metallics continue to be a super strong trend, especially in footwear…which I’m always happy about. I think that a great pair of muted gold block heels is essential to have on hand during wedding season. One trend that I’m SUPER excited to adopt this Spring is block heeled mules. I love the thought of pairing them with boyfriend jeans and a fun top, cute sundresses or even long maxi skirts. A really fun and different trend to try! Turn on your JavaScript to view content Wedges Wedges are such a great Summer option! They give you height and remain comfortable enough to wear for an extended time. I’m seeing tons of espadrille wedges, which are awesome to pair with anything from white denim and a cute top to sundresses or denim shorts. You really can’t go wrong investing in a good neutral Summer wedge. Studded Gladiator Sandals | I loved these online and bought them in hopes of having a more “dressy” sandal for date nights or to wear to Summer events with nice maxis dresses, etc. For the price, I was a little disappointed in these. The leather was really stiff and overall uncomfortable. From far away, I did really like the look of them and they come in a ton of colors, so that’s a plus. Personally, I’m going to return them…bummer! Pearl Embellished Slides | Obsessed is an understatement! These are so comfortable and have just the right amount of girly details to make them versatile enough to dress up or down. Definitely keeping these guys and really want to buy the black pair as well! (If these sell out again before you read this, email me and I’ll add you to my little “alert” list. I’m watching them like a hawk for in stock alerts for quite a few girls and can add you to the list to get an email when I see them pop up) Metallic Birkenstocks | I’ve been eyeing these for quite some time now and finally pulled the trigger on this rose gold metallic pair. I got them in and was actually a little let down. The leather was super hard and stiff and felt like they would definitely require some work to break in. I also got my regular size, which felt a little big. I think that I’m going to return these and go for this gorgeous blush version in their traditional soft leather. Lace-up Sandals | I loved the rich cognac color of these lace up sandals…and I also REALLY loved the price! An awesome everyday boho sandal that I know I’ll get a ton of wear out of. They also have a really small suede covered heel, which gives them a high-end look to me. They run TTS. Cut-out Wedge Sandal | These have been around for a few seasons now and I’ve been holding off on buying them for whatever reason. I finally decided to give them a whirl and you guys…I’M IMPRESSED! Actually I quite love them and am kicking myself for not buying them sooner. They are a statement shoe without being flashy, still work as a neutral and do a REAL flattering number for the legs. They also zip up the back so that you don’t have to mess with the laces every time you want to wear them. I HIGHLY recommend these! Metallic Block Heel Mule | I’ve had my eyes on a pair of Gucci metallic mules and could not figure out how to stomach the $800 price tag. When I saw these nearly identical-in-shape dupes for under $150, I literally added them to my cart faster than the roadrunner! They are SOOOOO good, you guys! These are shoes that are on-trend in every way, versatile enough to wear with a pair of boyfriend jeans to a trendy dinner or dress up with a cocktail dress and are actually COMFORTABLE! I’m thrilled with this purchase! They run TTS. Gold Block Heel Sandals | I’ve been using these in a TON of my style boards lately and finally convinced myself that I needed them. My gold sandals similar to this were definitely showing some unsightly wear and I love the updated look of this block heel version. They are a great shoe to buy for 2-3 years to come because they really do work as a neutral back to any and all dresses from kind of casual to black tie. These are a shoe that you can have on hand and always feel confident throwing on. So, there you have it, my Top 20 Neutral Sandals for Spring picks + some honest reviews! I hope that this makes narrowing down which pair(s) you want to add to your closet this Spring a little easier. You really can’t go wrong when buying neutrals…they allow you to really play up bright Summer colors and you’ll wear them a ton because they go with nearly any outfit. Now, tell me…which were YOUR favs???? I hope that you enjoyed this! xo *This post was sponsored by Nordstrom, but all content ideas, photography and opinions are my own.
