The Friday Edit January 29, 2016 | Oh Happy Friday! As per usual, I cannot believe that the week’s already over, but man I’m ready for the weekend! Here’s a recap of everything that happened here on Style Your Senses this week: The most popular post was the Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for HER! You guys must be a little like me and will take any excuse to celebrate. Send this post over to your hubs with a few hints 😉 JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. From the guide, it looks like you guys are super interested in the shoes, as they were definitely the most popular items, making me think you’re doing a little Valentines day shopping for yourself…and I’m high-fiving you for that! The Red Fringe Heels were the most clicked, but only by a little bit! From Monday’s Rose Quartz Decor post, you guys loved the blush pink velvet chairs just as much as I did. I mean they make me drool. I need them. Here are all of my favorite Rose Quartz decor pieces: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. From Wednesday’s What I Wore: Valentine’s Day Date Night, you guys were super interested in my red crop sweater and my go-to pleated leather skirt…I would have bet the $12 tortoise shell sunnies would have been the most popular, but nope! Like I said in the post, I am so impressed with the thickness and knit of the sweater for the price and you guys already know how much I adore the leather skirt…it’s 100% the best purchase I’ve made all season and I plan to continue to wear it through Spring! Turn on your JavaScript to view content The most popular posts on Insta this week were all about dinner outfits: I actually surprised Dan with a sitter and a mid-week dinner date and got all dressed up to meet him after work. A lot of work to pull together, but it was fun! We went to Bonterra here in Charlotte and I actually liked Dan’s dish the best…it was an amazing Carolina Catfish dish with golden fried rice. YUM! I dressed up my favorite $25 tunic and actually ordered a new one in ivory right when I got home because I have officially worn this one out. Like there may have even been a hole in it that I noticed at dinner. Shame. If you don’t have this tunic…buy it now…in 3 colors! Turn on your JavaScript to view content Right before Snow-mageddon hit, we snuck out to dinner at our favorite pizza place to grab a bite to eat and I wore this amazing new 2-in-1 ruffle sweater. I cannot get over how much I love it, especially for the price! I wore it with these booties, that I gushed about in last Friday’s Edit. p.s.- Charlotte peeps be warned, Wolfgang Puck Pizza totally changed their menu. We were the first to try it out and its TOTALLY different than before. More of a focus on Kitchen + Bar than on a pizza destination. We weren’t overly thrilled. Just FYI 🙂 Turn on your JavaScript to view content Speaking of 2-in-1 sweaters, this sale find sweater was the most popular “Steal” from the daily newsletter! It comes in 10 colors and is on sale for under $30. Such a great piece to throw on and easy to transition to Spring with. 2-in-1 Sweater | $29.90 Link Love: Have you guys been keeping up with Couture Week in Paris? There’s truly nothing quite like it…the glamour, the fashion, the city….oh my! My absolute favorite collection presented was Giambattista Valli. I loved every.single.piece and the girly, floral details had me doing some serious swooning. View the entire presentation HERE. Some trends that I think will be HUGE in the coming seasons that you can also see in this collection are…off the shoulder, pastels, florals, and continuing the cape trend. I can’t even with this dress. I die. Loved this post by The Everygirl about what you should do and see in Marfa, TX. This tiny Texas town is a hike from virtually anywhere, but it’s so rich in culture that it’s absolutely worth seeing. I cannot believe that in my 6 years in Texas that I never went, but it’s certainly on my list for the near future. Put on the recent pop culture map by artists Elmgreen and Dragset when they constructed a free standing Prada store off of a remote Texas road outside of Marfa. Grey Malin did an amazing photography series on it as well…see that HERE. Credit: The Everygirl Are you guys gearing up for the SuperBowl?? I cannot believe that the Panthers will be playing in Superbowl 50! What an amazing time it is for the city of Charlotte…so much buzz here….you can feel the electricity! What are your favorite SuperBowl snacks? Leave your fav recipes in the comments because I am in desperate need of easy apps to throw together! I hope that you guys have a great weekend! Cheers!

Debbie Crumpler says January 30, 2016 at 6:50 AM Greek yogurt spinach artichoke dip from HT or Aldi is best. Served with cherry tomatoes and cheese cubes on toothpicks. FYI wings from improper pig are BEST!
