Spring Travel Style! January 11, 2019 | So excited to be getting back into the swing of things and to be working with Nordstrom today on a Spring Travel Style post! I know a lot of you guys are planning Spring getaways and travel style has been one of the most requested posts, so here goes. I’m including my go-to travel outfit, some quick tips and tricks to travel in style and also all of the beach-y resorts that you guys suggested we look into! Cozy Wrap Top | Go To Cami | Belt | White Jeans | Wedges | Logo Tote | Weekender Bag | Hat | Watch | Sunnies Spring Travel Style: Let me preface by saying that I really do always like to be pulled together a bit when I’m traveling. It’s usually an all day affair and I feel best when I have a great outfit on–that way I can also hit the ground running when I reach my destination. Whether I’m traveling by car or by plane, I think that travel style should be three things: Functional | Meaning that you can assure there will be no wardrobe malfunctions (dress won’t blow over your head on the tarmac while your arms are full type stuff). Comfortable | Travel is inevitably a time suck, so make sure that your outfit can withstand the long haul. If I were to be on a super long flight, I would have swapped out the white jeans in this outfit for THESE cozy joggers. Cute, but Considered | Definitely always choose an outfit that you feel confident in, but I also like to strategize based on how much room I have to pack. Typically, I’ll try to wear my heaviest shoes for travel so that I don’t have to pack them in my suitcase. Thankfully these are wear-all-day wedges and are SO comfortable, so they’re perfect for a day of travel and save me some room in my bags. Nordstrom has a great selection of affordable weekender bags, my favorite being this Sole Society one that I’ve had for years. I love the bottom zip compartment just for shoes, because packing dirty shoes in my big bag really grosses me out. Here are some other under $100 options. I’ve also really enjoyed my MCM tote and think that it’s absolutely perfect for Spring travel! It’s roomy, REVERSIBLE and comes with a super handy clutch inside, so essentially you’re getting three bags for the price of one! In here I would pack my laptop, 5 minute makeup routine, wallet, passport, phone and some snacks if I have the girls with me. Here are some other great options as well: **SPRING SHOE ALERT*** I finally caved and bought these espadrille wedges and I now know what all of the fuss was about! They are comfortable, flattering and are truly a go-with-everything shoe. I HIGHLY recommend them and they now come in 5 colors, although the tan is still my favorite. They have amazing reviews and were really popular last year and sold out very fast. I think that they are totally worth buying now and being able to wear through Spring. A truly AWESOME find at Nordstrom exclusively, at a wonderful price! SHOP THEM HERE Here’s more outfit inspiration based on what I could have easily fit into my weekender or carryon bag! Nordstrom even has a curated travel section for you to easily narrow down favorites for your vacation–check it out HERE. Left: Black Overalls | Hat | Clutch | Sunnies | Wedges | Flats This photo does this jumpsuit no justice! I’m going to try it on via Instastories today because OMG it’s just about the cutest thing! Lightweight, SO comfy and actually really versatile! Wear it as a swim cover or casually with a tank and flip flops! One of my favorite Spring finds so far! Right: Statement Earrings | Hat | Swimsuit | Sandals This swimsuit is TO DIE FOR. Definitely a little cheeky, but overall it does offer a lot of coverage while still being girly and fun! Spring Travel Style: What to pack in your carry on for a beach weekend: My goal lately has been packing in carryons! It’s almost like a challenge for me now and I love nailing it. Here’s what I would fit in a Spring weekend getaway, only packing in a carryon! Two swimsuits, a coverup, 3 bottoms + 2 tops that could make countless outfits, 3 pair of shoes, sunnies and plethora of travel sized sunscreens! You’d likely still have room for a dress, one more top and your hair essentials. I own all but a handful of these items, so I can assure you that they are great for functional travel!
