Mom Style Monday | Loungewear + Playdate Party

I’m so excited because today marks the fist official Mom Style Monday post! Remember how a few weeks back I told you that we would be back on the first Monday of each month with some major mom style inspiration? Well, here we are and today we are kicking things off talking LOUNGEWEAR. You know the comfy clothes that you still want to be somewhat cute, flattering AND functional? The outfit that’s so comfortable that you literally want to throw it on everyday? Yep, that’s the loungewear we’re talking about. These pieces do exist, ladies…and they don’t have to be your husband’s pullover or old sweatpants! See how each of us have styled some chic loungewear outfits that will keep you cute and comfortable, even if you are chasing toddlers all day! I’m also sharing some easy tips on how to throw together a brunch playdate for your fav pals…

My love for this sweater knows no limits! It’s a sweater AND a cardigan in one and anything that’s functional enough to wear two ways is a winner in my book! Raise your hand if your floor is always covered in Little People?!?!? Oh my goodness those little devils can nearly kill you should you step on one!!! But honestly, is there anything cuter than baby feet?!

Since February (and most of March, let’s just be honest) means cold cold weather, most of the playdates that we plan will be indoors. I think that it’s such a fun idea to get a few moms + babes together and host a brunch playdate that’s easy and also entertaining and kid friendly. I mentioned keyword EASY here and that’s exactly what this one was. I whipped up the mini cinnamon rolls and had a large batch of stove top oatmeal out with lots of toppings for a small oatmeal bar. Cristin brought the OJ + champs and Kate brought some kid friendly treats…so easy and kept us all entertained!

These mini cinnamon rolls are always one of my favorite things to whip up for a yummy brunch or breakfast, especially when hosting people. They are always a hit amongst littles and adults alike! Get the super easy recipe HERE. 

Finally, let’s chat more about these Leopard Shoes. If I told you that they were technically fleece lined house shoes would you even believe me?? While they are slippers, they do have a thin rubber sole so that you can wear them to take the dog out, grab the mail or go to the grocery store…I’m not judging! They are beyond cute and they offer tons of other colors and prints HERE. A great gift, too!
