Making Time for Each Other With Jord Watches

Let’s be honest, making time for your significant other isn’t always easy when jobs, kids, and sitters have to be involved each time you want to even get out of the house for a quick dinner together. We moved to Charlotte knowing we wouldn’t have ANY help with a new baby from family and friends, and didn’t take a “date night” until Landry was 9 months old. Big mistake.

Since then, and when we realized how much we missed quality alone time together, we have been making a much more valiant effort with date nights. At least once a month we will plan a dinner or go to a movie to re-connect, and it’s been great. It doesn’t have to be fancy, and we always end up gushing about Landry anyway…but we are alone and don’t have to worry about dicing toddler food, mid-meal potty breaks or the potential for a melt down in front of a bunch of un-suspecting strangers.

When Jord asked us to review their beautiful wooden watches, we happily brought them along on our favorite date night…Mexican food! I chose the most beautiful Zebrawood women’s watch with a statement turquoise face and Swarovski crystals. I can’t even tell you how many people have stopped me to ask about this watch…the airport, mommy group, the mall…you name it! There’s something about the natural wood element paired with the glam color + crystals that make it a total show stopper! Dan chose a beautiful Koa wood men’s watch from the Dover series. It has an exhibition face (where you can see all of the parts moving behind the face), a black rim encircling the exhibition that makes it super sleek and 3D numerals that make it very modern. He’s able to wear it to the office on a casual day and also on the weekends. It’s such a unique piece and he’s been wearing it a ton!

…mine is definitely a statement piece, but also works well with all of my summer stacking bracelets.
