Instagram Roundup | May: Part I May 16, 2016 | Happy Monday! This one came a little too soon…normally I’m not one of those wah wah it’s Monday people, but today I’m feeling like I could have absolutely used one more day! The good news is that I’m sharing Part I of May’s Instagrams and these are always fun posts. I love giving you more details about each outfit and I know that more and more of you are missing Instagrams…isn’t that so frustrating!!?? UGH! Well, here are the highlights and the good news is that most everything is still in stock! I lived in this chambray tank last summer and lucky for you guys, they’ve updated it and brought it back for this summer! I found myself throwing it on with so many things, but most of all it allowed me to wear all of my fun patterned + printed shorts and it was easy to pair the chambray back to them for an easy summer outfit. Shorts | Updated Chambray Shell | Bag | Leo Tassel | Flatforms Continuing my love for chambray, these track shorts have been on repeat. They have a little tulip hem on each side, this making them nice and loose and flowy….am I the only one who HATES tight shorts? Nothing worse than feeling like a cased sausage in the middle of summer…um no thanks…give me all the loose fits! Also, I’ve raved about this muscle tank before, but it’s that good. A muscle top fit, which means the arm holes are dropped a bit allowing you to show off a fun cami or lace bralette… Muscle Tank | Chambray Shorts | Sandals | Crossbody Bag This necklace had me stalking the poor mailman and I literally RAN to the mailbox when I saw him pull the shiny box out of his bag… to be honest, I knew I loved the look and size of the necklace but was prepared to be a little let down with the quality (it’s under $70!). I was SHOCKED with how heavy and well made it is and it absolutely stands up to a vintage squash blossom at about 1/15th of the price! I can’t rave about it enough! I wore it with this simple black racerback dress (on the blog soon, but I’m in love with it’s versatility) and lace-up heels for our anniversary date… Tank Dress | Squash Blossom Necklace Here’s another look at the side detail of the chambray shorts I just talked about. So cute and not too short. The same tulip detail is on the back of this tank and I think that they are cute and breezy for summer and even for the gym…especially for under $10! Tulip Tank | Chambray Shorts | Sandals The great jumpsuit debate! I’m in love with this embroidered silk jumpsuit, but have a really hard time justifying the price. You know that I’m pretty thrifty, and $300 on such a novelty piece seemed like just a little too much…you guys agreed. I seriously love it though and thought that the fit was great for summer and still flattering…such a unique piece. Also comes in black! Silk Jumpsuit I took my #momiform up a notch with this off the shoulder top and cut off denim shorts. Off the shoulder is obviously a huge trend and can absolutely be worn during the day as well. Top | Shorts | Updated Sandals When wearing white denim, I try to always pair it back to a tunic top so that my thighs and rear aren’t showing. They are not my favorite spots and especially not in white denim, but that doesn’t mean I can’t still wear my favorite white skinnies! This bright and colorful tunic (this photo does the colors no justice) was so perfect to wear over white denim. It’s so lightweight, fun and has darling tassel details. Watercolor Tunic | White Denim | Bag | Ring | Boater Hat Neon, floral and statement earrings is always a good idea…scaled back with classic aviators. Clutch | Earrings| Ring Morning light in our bedroom is always my favorite…see the full post on our master HERE. This off the shoulder dress is a total score at under $30 and also comes in black! I paired it with statement earrings and a simple wedge heel for a girls night out. Dress | Earrings | Wedges When people start talking about capsule wardrobes I always get a little antsy even thinking about it. I love having options and would panic knowing I only had X number of pieces to pair together. But then I go and wear this tunic + denim shorts combination about once a week and I get it. Go-to pieces and/or outfits are so key, especially ones that you can totally change the look of with accessories. I couldn’t live without this tunic in my lineup. Tunic | Shorts | Belt | Crossbody Bag This red swing top is so cute and has an exposed tie back. Great for beachy destinations! These earringsare finally back in stock, too! Swing Top | Shorts | Earrings | Flatforms | Hat This dress was a huge hit on insta! Great for so many things! Off the Shoulder Dress | Sandals If you guys have never experienced an Emily Ley planner, please treat yourself to one. Emily is so inspirational and pours her heart into these planners. They are so well-done, motivating and help to kick my behind into organization mode. They make amazing graduation gifts, too! Planner | Heels Love the feel of this glam necklace paired back to distressed denim for a patio dinner.
