Ikea Hack: #DIYSummerSchool June 11, 2015 | For this Ikea hack, I decided to jazz up the Ikea Latt childrens table + two chairs. Landry has officially outgrown her highchair and I desperately needed a kids table that served many purposes but didn’t take up too much room in our narrow kitchen. I needed it to function as a busy area, craft table, and place for her to eat…and, well, that’s a tall order. Aside from its very attractive $24 price point, I liked that the design of the Latt was clean and compact and perfect for a little human her size. See how a few easy updates really transformed this inexpensive table. Steps to follow for easy Ikea Hack kids table… DIY IKEA HACK KIDS TABLE For Your Ikea Hack Kids Table You’ll Need: Ikea Latt Table + Chairs Towel bar (I found the one here at Ikea as well in the kitchen dept, but it’s not online. Any removable towel bar will work). Now it serves so many purposes for Landry, keeps her entertained for hours, and isn’t an eye sore in my kitchen. And, really, the possibilities are endless for this little gem…I can totally see it as a tea party table, or a lego table as well. The other great news is that for under $50, I don’t care if it gets totally beaten up. #momwin. Now it’s YOUR turn….show me what you’ve hacked from Ikea!!! I’m dying to see!!! Lauren English says June 5, 2015 at 11:51 AM This is so cute! I love all the little buckets and the hooks to hang art. Is it bad that I kind of just want to steal this idea to make my own grownup-sized activity table with all my craft stuff? 😉
tiana says September 15, 2016 at 4:50 PM Hello, I love this hack. I had a few questions 1. After you spray painted the table/chairs white, did you use any kind of finish on it? 2. has the paper roll being setup that way been convenient for her to use? 3. Do you know what age this table may work till , my daughter is 2.5 already so wondering. Thank you so much!
Style Your Senses says September 15, 2016 at 9:13 PM Hi! I didn’t use a finish but I did prime before hand. The paper roll has been great and, depending on her size I think that it will work fine. My daughter is exceptionally tall, so she’s since outgrown it but I would say it’s good until 3.5-4 I hope this helps 🙂
