How to Transition Prints to Spring March 20, 2019 | It’s no secret that PRINT is trending for Spring and more specifically leopard print, snakeskin print and camo print are all over stores right now. Since these are typically seen more in the Fall and Winter, I wanted to show you how to gracefully transition prints to Spring with 3 fun outfits all from Nordstrom. From a little dressy to more everyday casual, these prints add the perfect pop of interest, are really easy to wear and pair back so well to all of your favorite neutrals! This is one of my favorite style posts in a while and I think that it’s because these outfits are SO functional for my everyday life and I’ve worn each of them multiple times since shooting this post. How to Wear Leopard Print in the Spring: Leopard Button Up (S) | Paper Bag Waist Shorts (4, TTS) | Wedges | Panama Hat | Similar Sunnies | Watch | Earrings Well, we all know that I personally wear leopard print year around (probably a little too much if I’m being honest), but I really do love the versatility and how well it pairs with my favorite neutrals. I found this really nice leopard print button up at Nordstrom and think that the possibilities are endless when it comes to how many ways you could wear it throughout the year. It’s 100% cotton so it’s not too heavy to really wear any season and it’s not flimsy, so you get a crisp clean look. Other ideas for styling the top: with jeans + belt (both regular denim + black jeans), with denim shorts, with white shorts, with black pants for work, tucked into a black skirt, layered under a bright pink (or any color, really) sweater…the list really goes on…if you don’t have a crisp leopard button up top, trust me that it’s really worth the investment. For Spring I love it paired with these high waisted shorts! The fit is AMAZING, as they are comfortable, flattering and a modest length…all for a great price. They also dress up the outfit a bit and make it a great option for a casual Summer date night or evening dinner with your girlfriends. Throw this combination on with my favorite espadrille wedges and even a cute panama hat and you have a really easy outfit that’s on trend, but really easy to wear. Size down) | Camo Pull On Pants (S) | Panama Hat | Slides | Similar Sunnies | Bag | Watch | Earrings Not to play favorites, but these camo pull on pants were my favorite find for this post. They are a heavier weight than a typical jogger pant and have an open tulip hem which makes them feel different. They are pull on (hallelujah!), with a functional drawstring and really just have the cutest, relaxed fit that’s SO comfy! They are SUCH a great Spring transition piece and are so so easy to wear—not to mention they look chic and make you feel pulled together. They also comes in other colors HERE and I want all of them. I paired them with this V-neck swing tank and love the look. The tank is oversized by nature, so I tucked it in in the front for some shape and really like the contrast of the two pieces. PS- this is a great nursing tank as it has a tent fit and it also comes in quite a few colors. To give it more shape you could also knot at front. See them all HERE. These slides are the same brand as the espadrilles that I was wearing with the previous outfit and this will be my second season to wear them. I wore the HECK out of them last Spring and Summer and totally plan to continue wearing them this season. They slide on and pair back to nearly any outfit, making them a shoe that I can keep by the door, throw on and go. Not to mention they are awesome quality for the price! How to Wear Snakeskin Print in the Spring: V Neck Tank (currently on sale, I wear the S) | Denim Shorts (28, ran small, would have preferred 29) | Snakeskin Sneakers (TTS) | Wide Brim Hat | Similar Sunnies Probably my current favorite print trend is all things SNAKESKIN! It feels fresh and fun and a little edgy and I’m all over it. That said, I know that a lot of you have some hesitations about adopting a new print into the family, so here’s a really conservative and casual way to wear snakeskin this Spring. This is my #momiform in the Spring and Summer….if you ever see me on any given weekday and the temps are above 80, I’m likely wearing a tank, shorts and sneakers. Here’s how I worked snakeskin into the mix… These snakeskin sneakers were love at first sight! Not only is the print on trend but the flatform soles continue to be hot for Spring. I love that with these you get comfort and style…making them really functional in everyday life! PS: this is my all time favorite tank—don’t miss it currently on sale in all colors for $13!!!
