How to Style Denim Flare Jeans September 12, 2018 | So I declared that my love of denim flare jeans is going strong into the Fall and I’m thrilled that something other than skinny jeans is trending! Truth is that I feel very strongly that you should ALWAYS wear whatever denim that you feel good in and whatever style that you feel the most flattered by. I’ve always felt that flares flattered my body type (and nearly any other body type for that matter!), what I love is that they balance out curvy girls (aka me) and take some of the focus off of the hips and conversely also create some curve and shape for girls with less curves. This is a win win, friends and that’s why today I’m showing you just how to style denim flare jeans for the Fall! Here are 3 of my favorite ways to wear flare jeans going into the Fall! Here’s the scoop on the flares that I’m wearing in this post: I LOVE THEM. They are just over $100 (so a little more than I normally spend) and I wanted so bad to WANT to return them, but nope I really did find them ultra flattering and well worth the price. They sit a bit lower on the hips and the nice dark wash into a large flare makes them SO SO slimming on the legs. I found that they ran TTS and I am wearing a 28 here. Completely worth the investment, or I can promise you I wouldn’t have written an entire post around them. **If you do want a more budget conscious pair, THESE are *very* similar! This first way is a great outfit to start wearing NOW as the weather cools a little, but not quite enough to justify wearing sleeves. Lighter weight knits are a huge trend for Fall and this little sweater is a great buy now, wear now option. It’s flattering on the shoulders and tucks perfectly into my favorite flares. Lucky for you, it’s an EXTRA 40% off of the SALE price, making it $27! Lightweight Sweater (addt’l 40% off!) | Flares | Belt | Layering Necklaces | Sunnies I shared this silk top over on Instagram a few weeks back and have loved having it in my closet. It’s the perfect front tuck for flares and the relaxed nature of the shirt is the perfect compliment to the lines of the jeans. It’s made by a brand called Everlane and they are my new “go-to” for amazing basics…that actually aren’t very basic. The attention to the process, the details and the fit is noticeable and they are definitely a brand that I think you guys would find amazing as well. Silk Button Up | Flares | Belt | Clutch | Necklaces (Twine + Twig / Erin McDermott) | Sunnies | Earrings Lastly, here’s a layered look to get you through crisp Fall days. I used my go-to ivory roll tab top as the base layer and then added this fun fringe open front cardigan (say that 10x fast) over it. The good news is that this is also one of those outfits that will get you through those awkward temp days…you know the ones where it starts off at 50 degrees and ends up at 75…you could easily ditch the cardigan and still have a great outfit on. If you don’t have this roll tab top, you are actually missing out on a wonderful closet staple. I currently own 3 colors. Ivory Roll Tab Top | Fringe Open Front Cardigan | Flares | Belt | Layering Necklace | Gold Bar Necklace | Earrings | Sunnies Other Denim Flare Jeans to Try: The 7forallMankind Dojo’s are back! Remember these from college?! In fact, they were my very first pair of designer jeans! I love the fit, wash and flare of the updated style! THESE are a gorgeous high waisted flare option. I own and also love THESE and they are a bargain at $45! Run on the shorter side though, if you are taller than 5’9 they will likely be short on you. If you wanted a pair with slight distressing for a casual look THESE are made by the same brand that I’m wearing in this post and I’m VERY tempted to buy them! Cropped flares are also trending well right now and it’s a great way to adopt the flare trend without worrying about length. THESE are on major sale! So, tell me, will you be styled denim flare jeans this Fall??? You’ll be surprised at how much your ankles enjoy the break from skinny jeans 😉 x0x0 Loving this denim flare jeans feature?
