How to Justify Designer Jeans + 3 Ways to Wear Them October 19, 2016 | This post is sponsored by Zappos, all opinions are my own. Chatting with Zappos again today to talk all things designer denim and sharing with you guys why I think that finding the right pair makes them worth the investment! I know that I speak for a lot of you guys when I say that spending $150 to $250 (say what?!) on designer jeans is an absolute drag…I mean, that’s a lot of money my friends! Today we are going to chat about why the RIGHT pair of designer jeans are actually worth every penny of the investment and I’m showing you how to make them work overtime in your closet this Fall to justify the price tag. I’m also giving tips on what to look for when buying a new pair of jeans! When I saw these Hudson mid-rise skinnies, I knew that I wanted to use them for this post. They are a great dark wash (aka always flattering), a mid-rise that conceals any sort of muffin top situation and also have slight distressing (aka keeps you on trend, but not enough to make you look homeless). See how I styled them for absolutely any Fall occasion below! Casual + Everyday Chic | This is my go-to #momiform and the jeans were super easy to incorporate into this outfit. Since they have 40% stretch, they honestly feel like pajamas and allow me to stand on my head if needed while chasing a toddler around all day. They are SO comfortable, but they don’t lose their shape, which is a total win in my book! Instead of living in leggings this Fall, take things up a notch with this pair of jeans and feel just a little more put together. White T-Shirt | Plaid Button Up | Hudson Skinny Jeans | Black Cross Body Bag | Leopard bag Tassel | Adidas Superstar Sneaker | Gold Hoops (on sale for $5!!!) I really wish you guys could feel these babies…seriously like jammies! Oh and did I mention that they are machine wash and DRY?! #praise! Fall Festive | If you’re anything like me, Fall is SO dang busy and often requires me to get OUT of my #momiform and step up my style game for events, Holiday parties, shopping, brunches and dinners with the girls. This is the perfect Fall outfit where you can easily dress up your designer denim just a bit and still maintain the comfort factor. I threw on this darling wrap front sweater and a cute mid-calf bootie for an outfit that’s simple but cute and festive for the Fall months. Wrap Front Sweater | Hudson Skinny Jeans | Grey Suede Booties | Sunnies | Gold Earrings | Bracelet Stack | Leopard Clutch When dressed up, distressed denim adds a little edge to any outfit and really takes the “cool” factor up a notch. I think distressing is here to stay, so don’t hesitate on these. Dressed up for Date Night | It was so easy to throw on my favorite black strappy tank and sky high heels with these jeans for a really sassy look that’s so cute for a night out with the hubs. I love how the mid-rise fit showed off some curves and how they kept their shape the entire night. Black V Neck Tank (My FAV!) | Hudson Skinny Jeans | Bomber Jacket | Jimmy Choo Pumps | Velvet Choker | Leopard Clutch | Sunnies Tips for buying designer denim: –Make sure that they are a dark wash. A deep indigo pair of jeans will always be in style and will always be flattering. They are also the easiest to dress up or down and thus the most versatile. –Ensure that they have stretch, but won’t lose their shape. Let’s be honest, weight fluctuates daily, so I always like to make sure that jeans have enough stretch to always make them flattering and comfortable. The best gauge to find a pair of jeans that have stretch but also won’t lose their shape is look at the spandex count. I always suggest not buying jeans with a count higher than 2%, because you are likely to get “saggy bum” after one wear. These Hudson skinnies have a spandex count of 1%, so they pass with flying colors! -Go for a classic silhouette. For example, skinny jeans are here to stay, thus are considered a classic silhouette. At this point, I wouldn’t invest in a pair of cropped flare designer jeans, only because I’m on a budget and am not sure if they will be around next season. Invest in a shape that you feel comfortable and confident in! -Find a brand that fits you, always! I have been wearing Hudson Jeans since college, so I was super confident that these would fit when I purchased them online…which they did 🙂 -WEAR THEM and ENJOY! Get out of those tights and bring your jeans back. They are easy to wear, comfortable and really add a polished look without any extra outfit planning. Zappos truly has the best selection of designer denim and I am so obsessed with super fast and always FREE shipping. If you want to see other styles in their Hudson assortment, shop them HERE.

Style Your Senses says October 19, 2016 at 9:43 AM Thanks lady! White tee is obviously my fav of ever…I got it in a large for an extra slouchy boyfriend fit that I didn’t have to worry about throwing in the dryer. Shown here it’s been dried probably 20x and still fits just liked I want it to. Overall it’s a boyfriend fit in general, so TTS if you’re good with hang drying and size up if you’re a dryer gal 😉
Gale says October 19, 2016 at 12:49 PM Love all your posts! A few questions – do these jeans have any stretch to them? And the black tank looks like it’s fairly low in the back, does it show a bra? Thanks!!
Style Your Senses says October 19, 2016 at 2:01 PM Hi Gale! The jeans do have stretch!! About 40% actually, which is what makes them feel like pajamas, but the good news is that they only have about 1% spandex, which means that they keep their shape! The tank is definitely on the border…I wear my bra a little lower in the back to get away with it, but another option is wearing a black bandeau over your strapless 😉 Have a great rest of your week!! xoxo
