Back to School with Shoe Carnival | Part 1 August 15, 2016 | This post was sponsored by Shoe Carnival, but all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting brands who support Style Your Senses! Today I’m talking all about Back to School with Shoe Carnival! I don’t know about you, but I get so consumed in Summer that BTS sneaks up on me every year and I’m literally scrambling to get everything together. Thankfully, Shoe Carnival came to the rescue this year and I not only found amazing school appropriate shoes for Landry, but I was also able to find some mom approved and on-trend shoes for myself at the same time! That’s what one would call a busy mom WIN! I’m sharing what I found in two posts and Landry is joining me in both posts and that always makes things more fun! As most of you know, Landry goes to a church school during the week and we both equally adore it. She’s there 4 days a week from 9-1 while I catch up on blog work, emails and content and it allows for us to maintain a perfect balance of me being a work at home mom and her getting some much needed social interaction with children her age. As silly as it sounds, I also feel like classic Converse Chuck Taylors also allow both women and kids to balance between style, functionality and comfort, which is why they are always on BOTH of our Back to School lists. Converse Chuck Taylor low top sneakers are perfect for back to school! Last year, I bought Landry the traditional white Chuck Taylors and overall I really liked them. While they definitely got dirty from being worn by a 2 year old, I could always throw them in the wash with some bleach and they would come out looking brand new. This year, I let her choose her color and (not shocking) she chose pink! They pair back to most things in her closet and just look so dang cute, so I obliged. Shoe Carnival has the full rainbow of Chuck Taylor colors on their website HERE. Twinning with her is just too fun to stop…especially while she actually still thinks that I’m cool! This year I upgraded my Chuck Taylor game and went for the Shoreline style. They have an elastic back, so they are no tie + slip on = amazing! I really really really like this style and dare I say prefer it to my tried and true traditional Chuck Taylor. They are beyond comfortable and so easy to throw on and go on busy school mornings. I liked them so much that I bought the white and the grey! Converse Shoreline shoes for Women are comfortable and versatile…making them the perfect addition to my #momiform! Was it just me or was a fresh box of crayons just about EVERY.thing on the first day of school?? Ha! Converse Chuck Taylor low top sneakers are perfect for back to school! I love Converse for LK because they still look adorable with dresses, but they also allow her to still run and play at recess. They are a great mix of style + function for little people. Mommy and Me style in Converse One of the many reasons that I love Chuck Taylors is because they are so versatile for busy moms. I wore this outfit for work meetings while Landry was at school and I didn’t hesitate at all to throw on my Converse. They are polished enough to wear to casual meetings, but are also built so that I don’t have to sacrifice comfort or style…which is why they are a staple in my closet! Casual mom style for back to school Honestly, where did my baby go??? Mommy and Me back to school essentials Shoe Carnival was really impressive for Back to School shoe shopping. I was thrilled with everything that I found and loved that I could access the sizes for myself without having to ask for help…especially since I was shopping with my favorite impatient toddler. Now tell me, what shoes are always on your Back to School list?? xoxo

zan says August 16, 2016 at 12:17 AM I am gearing up for the same and my girl is in need of a pair or two of shoes. I should go check out shoe carnival!! I used to always shop there for myself and for her when she was little but two more kids later – and boy has it been a while since I shopped there. She will go from 8 – 2 and I was kind of worried about it but now that I read your little one goes from 9 – 1 that makes me feel someone what better (my kid is 5). Thank you for the info about the shoe and also for the bit of encouragement I got about sending my kid to school for the first time.
