The Friday Edit March 4, 2016 | Hi-ya from sunny California! I’m taking a coffee break this morning to recap the week and put together a fun Friday Edit for you guys. Of course, I felt like to week flew by as I was preparing and packing for this long weekend away. If you guys are following along on Snapchat you saw my debacle on Wednesday, which is a true reflection of how I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off all week! Glad that they still had my shoes and that it wasn’t my wedding rings this time…I seriously doubt my sanity some days. Anyhow, here’s what you guys loved on zee blog this week and some of my favorite links! Top Post …was the Best Bottoms for Spring recap. I shared all of my favorites according to silhouette and trend and even gave tips on how to style them and pair them back to the best tops that we talked about last week. I wanted to show you guys that refreshing your wardrobe for Spring doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive and the key is versatility! See the full post HERE or shop them on the board below. You guys are still really digging the wallpaper in Landry’s room and were really loving the printable art that I chose for above the bed for her big girl room project. This shop is seriously amazing and it’s such an affordable way to get a large scale piece for such a small price. See the shop HERE. See the full post on plans for her big girl room HERE or shop the details from the board below. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. In Wednesday’s post it was definitely all about the jumpsuit. Rightfully so, because for $88 it’s kind of amazing. I actually have it packed as a potential candidate to wear to the rehearsal dinner tonight. Tune in to Instagram to see what I choose. See the full post HERE. I’m sure that you’ve seen the Chloe designer saddle bags EVERYwhere for the coming season and, well, we all know I’m not dropping $1,400 on a trend bag any time soon…so I’ve been on the hunt for a good, affordable version…and I FOUND IT!!! I stumbled upon this super affordable saddle bag as I was frantically looking for an outfit for this weekend and there was no question that I would be buying it. The size is PERFECT…not too small…not too big…and the crossbody makes it mama approved. Trust me on this one…you need it too. Shop it HERE (under $100 and in two great neutral colors)! Just to be included in a roundup with such talented, kind and amazing women was SUCH an honor. If you are not already following Paige, I highly suggest you subscribe to The Pink Clutch ASAP. Not only is she beautiful and talented, but her outlook on life and being a mama so inspiring to me. This Powder Bath by Ashley of Fancy Ashley was one of my favorite images used in Paige’s post. I actually just used this Pineapple Wallpaper in a mood board and seeing it styled so beautifully by Ashley is making me really excited to use it on a potential project! My friend Brynne is putting together the coolest series with a play on the alphabet and each week is tackling a decorating trend or topic and really breaking it down and making it relatable. She included our hot pink bamboo dresser in this weeks ABC’s of Gathering: C is for Chinoiserie post and I was so flattered. This series is so cool, thanks Brynne! Speaking of bamboo, this IKEA Rast hack by my friend Bethany is SO good. If you guys are looking for a super chic and wildly affordable nightstand option…see her post HERE. I snapped my excitement over these new sandals and thought that I would share them with you today. I’ve literally been stalking them forever now and at one point they were available for pre-order and then vanished and I could not stop thinking about them. When I saw them available for purchase this week I could not race to the check out fast enough! I even had them rush shipped, hoping that they would make it in time for my trip…but sadly they did not. At least I will have a surprise waiting for me when I get back! Shop them HERE. They also come in a beautiful ivory color. As if Jennifer Garner couldn’t be more adorable and hilarious…she goes and reads this book. I was dying laughing. We’ve all had those nights, especially with toddlers, right? Go the F to sleep! In domestic news, I used my spiralizer for the first time and it was a total success! Landry really got into it too and loved helping make the noodled. We chose to make zucchini noodles and I just roasted some chicken breasts, shredded them and combined them with our favorite pasta sauce for a super easy (and healthy) chicken spaghetti! You can snag one HERE and make sure to read the reviews, so many helpful tips! I would also love to hear your favorite recipes using the spiralizer! Deals and Steals: I scored the most perfect hot pink Trina Turk jumpsuit (you guys will see it on Insta this weekend) at my local Nordstrom Rack and it reminded me that I hadn’t checked out NordstromRack.com is a long time. Oh-em-gee it’s swimming with designer deals. How adorable is this Trina Turk strapless floral number for a Spring wedding. Wear it flowy with hair pulled back and major statement earrings or add a belt for some shape. It’s such a great Spring piece and it 67% off of retail! What a fun week…thanks so much for following along! Make sure that you are checking Instagram + Snapchat (@styleyoursenses) for some updates from La Jolla. I’ll be sharing what we’re doing, what we’re eating and what I’m wearing (#duh). Hope that you guys have a wonderful weekend!
