The Friday Edit January 22, 2016 | Wow what a fun week over here on the blog! I cannot believe it’s already Friday and if you’re reading this, it’s likely that we are snowed/iced in over here in Charlotte. You see I’m good with a “snow day” for about 3 hours. I like the slow morning and then at about 11 am I’m ready to hit the streets…that will likely be a problem today. Wish me luck! The top post of the week was definitely our Home Tour featured on Glitter Guide! Total pinch me moment and I promise I will shut up about it soon…but not juuuust yet 😉 X Bench | Lamps | Faux Taxidermy I got quite a few emails about this runner and I’m so bummed because it’s sold out at World Market, but I did find a similar one HERE. Lots of emails about this top as well. Can you even get over that it’s $15?? Me either! Shop it HERE. It was also fun to finally share Landry’s “Tea for TWO” second birthday party! Still can’t believe that it’s taken me this long to share it but I’m going with the “better late then never” mentality! A combination that involves very little thought to pull together, but looks effortlessly chic…a total win win in my book! I mentioned that my exact poncho was no longer available, but suggested tons of others. You guys seemed to have the same favorite as me…THIS ONE is amazing and under $20! It was honest to Goodness the hardest class that I have ever taken in my entire life and I was legitimately sore for 6 solid days afterwards. Mind you, the day before I ran 7 miles, so it’s not like I’ve never worked out before, but this is an entirely different workout than I’m used to. It totally proved that I only use a select few muscles during my comfortable cardio workout and have been neglecting so many other muscles which are relatively weak. The 40 minute class was absolute torture and as crazy as it sounds…I’m ready to go back! It’s one of those classes where I KNOW I’ll see results. Learn more HERE. Thanks so much for Liz and Clary for having us and to Kate for a kick ass class! Mesh Tank | Nike Tights On Friday, I headed to Austin for a short weekend away to celebrate one of my sweet friends’ bachelorette parties! On Friday night we headed to dinner at a yummy place called Fixe. It was a southern comfort food theme and I would highly recommend the deviled eggs and fried chicken…mmm! I wore this romper and some fun layered jewels: Turn on your JavaScript to view content Saturday we woke up and headed to brunch at Ten Oak. I had really yummy chicken and waffles and the mimosas were $1…check yes! I wore this: Turn on your JavaScript to view content Saturday night, we headed to the Four Seasons for some early apps and wine ($5 off apps and $8 wines by the glass during Happy Hour). I strongly suggest the Tuna Tostados and OMGG the donuts for dessert! We then headed out for another night of fun! I didn’t get a good pic of my outfit but I wore THESE SEQUIN SHORTS and THIS BLACK CAPE. I loved this outfit…I will try to get a good pic soon! Both pieces for under $75! Wednesday night I headed over to Kendra Scott to preview their new collection and wow it’s so stunning. I want every.single.thing. Inspired by watercolor art, the new bright metals and pastel stones had me swoooooning! Here were my favorite earrings: Other favorites from the collection: Turn on your JavaScript to view content Another highlight of the week was getting THESE BOOTIES in. Funny story, I spotted them at a boutique in Louisiana when I was home for Christmas. Once I saw the hidden 2′ wedge I literally dove at them, dying to take them home with me….only to find out my size wasn’t available! To prove to you guys how much I am obsessed with them, I pulled a total crazy move and reached out to the designer of the shoes on Instagram begging to find out if there was a size 9 available anywhere! We found a pair and I could not be happier with them. The hidden heel gives me a little extra height (and let’s be honest, makes your legs look slimmer), the toe is the perfect mix of rounded + pointy and overall they are SO well made. Excuse me while I NEVER take them off. In stock HERE and on the blog soon! I hope that you guys have a wonderful weekend! See you back here on Monday!
