What We Wore // Mother’s Day May 14, 2014 | Back again this week to continue our little What We Wore series. Here’s what we wore for our Mother’s Day festivities…a little bit Palm Beach Chic, a little preppy modern. I hope that you get a kick out of our “action” shots. I will say that this little series will be hard to pull off with a very active 15 month old who is wondering why in the heck in insist on holding her hand, when all she wants to do is bolt down the street. But on the other hand, this is just what I wanted. This is how we are. On another note, I am loving the midi length this season. As hemlines fall and shirts rise (I will not be partaking in this trend, rest assured) it’s a versatile length that can be dressed up or down, especially when paired with a basic white tank. You are then free to jazz it up or own with accessories (shoes, jewelry, bags) or really make it casual with a pair of your favorite flip flops and a messy bun. I actually have this skirt in two colors and plan to live in them this summer. I am also loving Navy and Magenta paired together. They are such rich colors that they complement each other just enough, and the white details in the outfits makes them really pop. I’ll let my “photographer” go easy on this one, because I will say I gave him a crumby lens to use and it was acting up on top of that…so better pics next time 🙂 Shop Me: White racer back tank: Forever 21 ($3.80 each and I bought at least 5…they are great!) Silk Midi Skirt: J. Crew old // similar Fuschia heels: Target last season // similar Necklace: Versona Shop LK: Dress: Lily Pulitzer Sandals: San-Sun Saltwater
