My Favorite Things | Summer Beauty June 25, 2019 | As I was packing up for our trip and tidying my bathroom counters, I realized that I’ve tried quite a few new things over the past several months that I haven’t yet shared with you guys. This is a post where I literally swept things off of my counters and snapped some quick pics and am telling you why I’m loving it! Lots of unexpected Summer beauty finds here that I’m enjoying and will definitely be buying again. Summer Beauty Finds: Colleen Rothschild Honey Vanilla Body Butter This body butter is PURE LUXURY. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of body butters but this one has totally changed my mind. The smell is AMAZING and it’s more of a lightweight whipped texture. It’s truly a luxurious treat that hydrates SO well. Asterwood Hyaluronic Acid I’ve spoken about this before in a previous Amazon haul, but it’s worth chatting about again. Hyaluronic acid is intensely hydrating and also does wonders to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and increase elasticity. I LOVE THIS STUFF and use it all over my body. The results are awesome and I really like that it’s organic and vegan and on Amazon Prime! Tocca Cleopatra My favorite Summer scent. I got it in a sample box and will absolutely be buying the full size. I’ve gotten SO many compliments on it. Lumify Eye Brightening Drops So here’s the deal. I have Pinguecula. It’s redness within the whites of the eyes and mine is likely caused by sun damage and lots of stupid tanning bed decisions that I made in college. It’s pretty harmless, but I’d be lying if I said that the aesthetics didn’t bother me. After talking to my eye doctor, I decided not to treat it with steroids, but instead to go with over the counter Lumify. It works amazingly to temporarily clear up the redness and since it’s over the counter, there are very few known side effects. My eye doc advised me to use it 2-3x a week or when I have a special occasion and that’s been working great. Sharing this because it’s available on Amazon and in case anyone else wants a solution for red eyes, this is really a game changer and supposedly safer than Visine. Elta MD Broad Spectrum Sunscreen I bragged about this suncreen yesterday on Instastories and it’s worth sharing here again since we are in the peak of Summer. I’ve been using this since Lawson was born. During and after pregnancies, I suffered from horrible hyper-pigmentation and as I was working to clear it up, it was really important to find a sunscreen that would protect my skin from additional sun exposure. This stuff works like a charm and is great for skin that’s prone to hyper-pigmentation and acne. It’s lightweight, rich in moisture and (most importantly) IT WORKS! Revolution Banana Baking Powder I bought this travel size baking powder to try out and will definitely be buying the full sized version. It’s a light mattifying formula that gives a little bit of color at the same time, while reducing red + pink tones. It definitely sets my makeup well without feeling too matte or heavy. Kenra Volumizing Dry Shampoo Another travel sized product that I bought and will absolutely be buying the full sized. I need to make a confession—I haven’t really LOVED a dry shampoo in a while. Most make my hair feel even greasier and I just don’t like the look or feel. That changed when I tried this stuff. It really dries out the oil and gives my hair the volume back. I’m now easily able to go 3 days between washes. Thayers Facial Toner Another recent beauty buy that I’ve been SO impressed with. I’ve known that Witch Hazel is supposedly good for the skin—but I didn’t know HOW good! It actually adds moisture to the skin and does wonders for evening out skin tone. It also works as an exfoliant when paired with these little rounds. This stuff is a game changer, and the thousands of positive reviews confirm it, too! it Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC Cream This stuff is super lightweight and what I wear when I’m active (Landry’s sports, pool, beach, etc). It’s a great SPF, layers great over sunscreen and works SO well to lightly even out skin tone without feeling heavy or cakey. it Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation This is actually what I’ve been wearing as foundation. It’s a whipped formula that still gives full coverage, but is also SO moisture rich, I apply with a foundation brush and love the color and coverage! True Botanicals Overnight Mask This stuff is AWESOME! It’s an overnight mask that really hydrates and plumps skin while you sleep! NYX Butter Gloss I’ve been wearing this drugstore lipgloss for years and really love it. It’s high gloss and lightweight and SUPER cheap. I’m linking the trio pack from Amazon above because those 3 are my absolute favorites for Summer! Only 12 too! Too Faced ” Sex on the Peach” One of the very best nude lipsticks that I’ve ever found! It’s a more matte lipstick but SO moisture rich and I love the natural look! I hope that you guys enjoyed a look at my Summer Beauty favorites! It’s so much fun to share random things that I’m loving 🙂 Happy Summer!
