The Case for a Good Kimono January 24, 2018 | Good Morning guys! How are you on this Wednesday? We are as crazy as ever over here, so this post is going to be short and sweet and focused on this outfit because it’s one of my favorites in recent memory! These next few months are so tricky with how to dress vs. the weather vs. what you actually *feel* like wearing. The weather (especially here in the South) is completely bi-polar with really warm days sprinkled into actual Winter weather, so having closet staples to layer with is key. Regardless of the weather, I am SO sick of Winter clothes right now. The last thing that I feel like doing is putting on a big sweater, so I’m always on the hunt for some fresh pieces that give my closet new life but can also work for now and later. Here’s one of my favorite outfits that can easily work for now and then later into Spring and a little bit about how to wear a Kimono… Knit Kimono $49 | Black Skinny Jeans | My Favorite Layering Tank | Booties | Belt | Watch | Similar Hat | Cross Body Bag Turn on your JavaScript to view content This kimono was love at first sight! I loved that the background was neutral and light, with some punches of color to give it a fresh feel. It’s also pretty lightweight and breathable, making it great for layering. Obviously the price is pretty sweet too at under $50! Since we are still in the dead of Winter, here’s how I’d wear it to still feel “in season.” If it’s a colder day, you could even layer a long sleeve black tee or lightweight sweater underneath instead of the tank that I’m wearing. To transition to Spring, I’d swap out the black tank for a white one and wear some cute distressed denim shorts with it. Outfit Idea for Later: Turn on your JavaScript to view content I love a good kimono for so many reasons, but mainly because they hide a multitude of things and really give you a long, clean line. You know I’m all about booty coverage AND kimonos were my best friend when I was pregnant because they hid everything else and just let my bump peek through, which was perfect! Moral of the story: If you don’t have a good kimono yet, get one! Here are some other cute, transitional options… Turn on your JavaScript to view content You guys!
