Top 20 Must Have Essentials for Baby #2! April 26, 2017 | I chose to partner with buybuy BABY on this post, but all opinions, photography and content ideas are my own. Thanks for supporting brand that support Style Your Senses. I’m super excited about today’s post because it’s one that YOU guys have really been requesting! I’m sharing my Top 20 Must Have’s for Baby #2 in partnership with buybuy BABY. buybuy BABY is definitely my go-to for all things baby and has been since Landry. I know that they always have what I need and also know that they have a full staff on hand who are knowledgeable and helpful in case I have questions along the way. Since it’s been almost 5 years since I registered for LK, there were SO many new things on the market when I went in for new things for this baby. Here are my Top 20 Essentials, including some trusty basics that I loved with Landry and some new products that I plan on trying based on rave reviews. One | Babyganics Bath Set // This was definitely our favorite bath brand. Organic skincare that’s got a fresh, light scent for baby. Registering for this gift set lets you try a lot of the products at once and determine what you like from there. Two | Dreft Baby Detergent // There’s nothing that I love more than fresh baby laundry washed in Dreft. We’ve always been pleased with Dreft and have never had any skin reactions. I always wash all of my pajamas in it as well, since there’s lots of snuggle time in the beginning. Three | Aden + Anais Swaddle Set // This set was such a lifesaver for me last go around that I made sure to buy another one for little Lawson. I used them for carseat covers, nursing covers, lightweight swaddles…you name it! I LOVE these blankets and think that they are a registry must Four | Lanolin Cream // Nursing mamas–this stuff is amazing. This time I got the mini tubes so that I could have one for bedroom, living room and diaper bag…basically for anywhere that you nurse. Five | Soothies Gel Pads // Another nursing essential. These soothing gel pads can be used over and over for cooling relief. Six | Onsie Sleepers // These seem so basic, but are great to have on hand. I use them to layer under little gowns or to put baby in and use a swaddle over. Seven | Nursing Pads // When nursing Landry, I found that I liked the Lansinoh brand best. They prices were great and the quality of products was also top notch. Eight | Hooded Towels // These are a new buy that I’m super excited about. For whatever reason good hooded towels are not only expensive, but they are also hard to find. I was thrilled to find this two pack for under $25 and have been really impressed with the quality. Nine | Nose Frida // This thing looked all kinds of crazy to me with Landry, but trust me it is AMAZING. It was so much more efficient than a bulb at getting the yuckies out of baby noses. Ten | Soothies Pacis // These are definitely our go-to paci. I’m hoping that little Lawson loves them as much as Landry did. Eleven | Baby K’Tan Carrier // This carrier came HIGHLY recommended and I am so excited to try it. We already have the Ergo, but I wanted something a little more compact that I could use more for when Lawson is an infant. I plan to try it out over the next few days… Landry was so excited to bring out her baby carrier to be “just like mommy.” Twelve | Carseat Cover // I love the functionality of this thing and am so excited to try it! It works as a carseat cover, nursing cover, scarf and shopping cart cover. Thirteen | Chicco Key Fit 2 // This thing was a total gem with Landry, so we got this slightly updated version for little Lawson. It’s super lightweight and easy to use and the functionality of the entire system is so amazing. I’m going to do an entire post on my love for it next month! Fourteen | Mustela Wipes // I love keeping these wipes on the changing table and in my diaper bag, to give baby a quick wipe down mid day or to clean up and spit up etc. Fifteen | Motorolla Wifi Monitor // This is another new purchase that we are excited about. We used a Motorolla monitor last go round and were happy with it. Since we are a more mobile family now, we thought that the upgrade to wifi was a good move. The camera is SO lightweight and easy to hang and the monitor is crystal clear and functional. I plan to do a full post of this one, too! Sixteen | Cloth Burp Pads // These also look so basic, but I was shocked at how many uses I found for them. They are definitely the most absorbent and economical burp cloth option out there and they are easy to launder as well. Seventeen | Project Nursery Smart Band // You guys know how much I love my friends at Project Nursery and when they launched their new product line, I couldn’t wait to try it out! This Smart Band is like a fitbit for new moms…it tracks feedings, sleep, diaper changes AND also keeps track of moms activity and diet. What an amazing little device to have up your sleeve. Eighteen | Project Nursery Sound Machine // Another new product that we are excited to try! We used a sound machine religiously for Landry and plan to again for little Lawson. This one comes with preloaded music but it also has Bluetooth so that you can stream your own music…which I love! Nineteen | Rock-n-Play // My #1 must have for all new moms is the Rock-n-Play! It 100% saved my life over and over with Landry and I was thrilled to upgrade to this sleek new Jonathan Adler version for Lawson. My basic version was wonderful, but this new one can be controlled from your phone and it rocks itself. There are two speeds as well as built in soothing sounds…not to mention the ultra chic design. This is like the cadillac of baby gifts, friends! Twenty | Halo Swaddle + Love to Dream Swaddle // Landry loved the Halo swaddle, so I picked up a lighter weight version of it for Lawson. The shape is great for babies who like to have their legs pretty free but need their arms contained more. We tried it on Lawson last night with some success. Tonight we are going to try the latter swaddle tonight since little miss prefers her arms above her head. Will report back, as I’ve heard great things! As we were roaming the aisles of buybuy Baby gathering last minute baby essentials, sweet Landry asked if should could pick out a special gift for little Lawson. She carefully chose this doll and we brought it home and wrapped it up for her special arrival. So many of you have asked how Landry is doing and adjusting and my answer is GREAT. She’s been a total champ at adapting to the 360′ changes at our house and is just taking it one day at a time. We have really tried not to interrupt her normal routine of school, soccer, bath, bedtime stories, etc and that’s been great for her. She really likes to help whenever possible and her favorite thing is checking the lines on Lawson’s diaper to see if they’ve changed to blue. We both really like giving the poopie diapers off to daddy too…gives us a good giggle 😉 Thank you so much for your support over these last few days, we are snuggling our newest arrival and navigating this new little life of ours. I hope that you found this post useful, and would love it if you shared it with any expecting mamas! -xo Pin this image to save for later…

Joyce Johnson says April 27, 2017 at 9:32 AM Congratulations on new beautiful baby girl! In seeing those bruises on Landry’s shins in the last photo, I’m reminded of my own leg bruises as a child, haha. Landry is so adorable and I know she must be thrilled too.
