Maternity Photos with Little Nest CharlotteApril 27, 2017 |Hi Friends! It’s nap time over here and I wanted to check in to share our maternity photos that we just got back and a fun local event for expecting moms! Photos of my girls are super duper important to me, so when Little Nest Charlotte approached me about documenting sweet Lawson’s first year of life, I was over the moon.We decided to kick off our partnership with a mini maternity session. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about maternity photos. Being 37 weeks pregnant and in front of a camera was not really my idea of fun (hello puffy face), but I’m so so glad that the Little Nest staff encouraged me to document this special time because I will treasure these photos forever. If you are an expecting mama in Charlotte, please make sure to check out the end of this post and I highly recommend taking advantage of their event this weekend (p.s. there’s also a discount code)! My number one thought (of course) was “WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?” Of course, I wanted something flattering and also something neutral and not fussing so as not to draw TOO much attention to the bump in family photos. Since I didn’t have a ton of time to search for the perfect dress, I took to Amazon and crossed my fingers! Turns out they have a ton of inexpensive, cute options and I ended up landing on THIS ONE in color “toffee.” It was only $30 and ended up working perfectly. Its not a dress you’ll wear outside of photos, but it certainly photographs well. I would stick with your pre-pregnacy size. Other dresses on Amazon that would be perfect for photos: THIS ONE | THIS ONE | THIS ONE | THIS ONEI didn’t really know what to expect upon arriving at Little Nest, but when I tell you that I was blown away by the entire experience I promise that’s not an exaggeration. The studio is absolutely gorgeous and beyond chic. Think of a place where all of your Anthropologie/Pinterest dreams meet a photography studio…I’m talking shiplap walls, navy blue velvet sofas, gold floating shelves and mossy accent walls…it’s truly dreamy. My Dress | My Earrings | Landry’s Dress | Dan’s Shirt | Dan’s JeansI will gush more about our experiences during a series of 4 posts, but for now I’ll let the images speak for themselves. You know it was a good session when you HUSBAND leaves impressed…Are you in Charlotte? If so, you can use code MALLORY50 to get $50 off your first session fee!!!
