What We Wore: Charleston Summer Dinner August 20, 2014 | I’m sharing What We Wore to dinner Saturday night in Charleston and it turned out to be quite the funny, impromptu photo session. Landry wanted to have absolutely nothing to do with the camera, so we are just goofing off the entire time, but some of these are my favorites. I am wearing a blue halter maxi with an exaggerated ruffle hem that I absolutely love. I tie it up closer to my neck to almost give it a sarong feel, but it creates the perfect look with a top knot and bold earrings, for a warm summer night. My Bauble Bar x Nordstrom earrings are some of my favorites. I’m obsessed with all things tortoise shell, and these are no exception. Landry is wearing a darling lipstick print Lilly Pulitzer shift dress and her trusty gold Salt Water Sandals. I’m so glad that I stocked up on these Lilly shifts at the end of last season, because they are truly the perfect thing to throw on a toddler and still have her look adorable. They are full enough to run around in, can accommodate growth, and the prints and details are so stinkin cute. An action shot of her taking the bow out for grins. Then she immediately asks for it to be put back. Shop My Look: Dress: Elan Halter Maxi (under $45!) Earrings: Bauble Bar x Nordstrom (similar here here & here). Shoes: Steve Madden (similar here) Shop Landry’s Look: Dress: Lilly Pulitzer (print from last year, but similar on sale here here here & here !) Sandals: Gold Salt Waters If you have any late summer events or even a destination wedding to go to this Fall, this maxi dress is amazing. I will definitely be wearing it again next summer! Also, you should really stock up at the Lilly After Party sale for girl’s shift dresses. That was my game plan last year and scored so many for this summer and she has literally worn them countless times I’ve rounded up lots of on sale options on the scroll . *Some affiliate links used.
