What We Wore to Disney! February 27, 2017 | Good Monday Morning! How was your weekend?? Thankfully, I started feeling better Saturday afternoon and we ended up having a great weekend overall! Today I’m sharing a post that I’ve been promising for over two weeks now and that’s…WHAT TO PACK FOR DISNEY! I had a ton of fun getting all of our Disney appropriate outfits together and am finally sharing all of the details with you guys. Our Disney trip was at the beginning of February, so the weather was a bit finicky. It was super cool in the mornings and evenings (lows around 50) and really warm in the middle of the day (between 70-80 degrees), so layering was key. These outfits would work well for anyone going in Fall, Winter or Spring as the weather is pretty much the same throughout. I had three goals when getting our Disney gear ready and they were: 1.) BE COMFORTABLE 2.) LOOK CUTE 3.) CUT OUT THE CHEESY Let’s be clear, some of the Disney gear out there can be real cheesy and that’s one of the main things that I wanted to avoid. Plus, I wanted to buy and pack pieces that we could wear again outside of our trip. Here’s how I kept it cute, comfy and not cheesy for the entire family…oh and I totally packed up everything in one checked bag and one carry-on…virtual high fives for me! ha 😉 Here’s what our princess wore first. It was perfect timing for us that GapxDisney decided to collaborate on the most darling collection! There are tons of super cute (and subtle) pieces with a Disney theme (see the whole collection HERE). Landry got this darling dress and wore it on her first day in the park! Disney X Gap Dress (50% off!) | Sequin Minnie Ears | Autograph Book | Little Girl’s Adidas p.s. Etsy had the most darling (and affordable) Autograph books! See them HERE. Next up, a sweet friend sent over two of these custom appliqued shirts and I’m obsessed. They are not over the top, but still fun. Landry loved wearing a them with tutu while in Magic Kingdom to meet all of the princesses. Applique T-Shirt | Red Tutu | Stripe Tights | Minnie Ears | Little Girl’s Adidas Finally, a sweet mama in Charlotte designed this little applique dress for her and it was such an awesome style for her to wear in Disney…lightweight, comfy and cute! Applique Dress | Minnie Ears | Polka Dot Tights | Little Girl’s Adidas Mommy + Me kicks == Best idea ever! Love twinning with my gal and these look SO cute on little toddler feet! Adidas Sneakers (Womens) | Little Girl’s Adidas | Minnie Ears Okay on to Mom outfits…Clearly I wanted to be comfortable first and foremost (hello 30 weeks pregnant and in Disney!) but looking cute was also high on my priority list. I’m not used to styling outfits around all day comfort, so my looks were probably the most challenging for me. I went with two extra comfortable pair of shoes that are still super chic and styled them back to comfy base layers and easy layering dresses. First, this breezy tank dress was great to layer under a utility vest. It added a little extra warmth, but was something that I could easily take off should it get too warm. I also treated myself to this new black diaper bag before we left and I used it every single day in Disney. It’s super functional without being fussy (aka not too many pockets, gadgets, etc). It’s a bag that I would wear regardless of if I had a baby or not. I also HIGHLY recommend a backpack for Disney. They fit easily on the stroller and are also much for comfortable to wear regardless. Lightweight Earrings | Diaper Bag Backpack | Adidas Sneakers | Camera | Lightweight Shift Dress (under $50) | Utility Vest | Sunnies This little ruffle hem top is SUPER lightweight (definitely needs a cami underneath), flowy and comfy. It looks cute paired with distressed boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans or even denim shorts. It was the perfect top to wear with my Minnie Ears and pair back to sneakers. Thankfully, I can also get lots of wear out of it outside of our Disney trip! Lightweight Ruffle Hem Top (under $50) | Lightweight Earrings | Sunnies | Distressed Boyfriend Jeans | Also wear with these Distressed Boyfriend Shorts | Adidas Sneakers | Minnie Ears I scored this vintage inspired Minnie tee for around $10 and it was fun to layer with. If you’re going during the warmer months, just throw on cute denim shorts and this outfit would still work! Vintage Minnie T-Shirt | Lightweight Bomber Jacket | Sunnies | Distressed Boyfriend Jeans | Also wear with these Distressed Boyfriend Shorts |New Balance Sneakers | Lightweight Earrings You guys certainly didn’t think that I would leave the house without my favorite (under $30!) tunic, did you!? I actually ordered it in this maroon color just for the trip 😉 I threw on a maternity cami and my favorite leggings for an uber comfy outfit that kept me going all day. Maroon Tunic (under $30) | Extra Long Tank (maternity version + non-maternity version) | Favorite Leggings (maternity version + non-maternity version) | Similar Denim Jacket | Adidas Sneakers | Sequin Minnie Ears | Sunnies This rouched maternity dress has been an absolute lifesaver for me! I loved layering with it at Disney, and also wear it at least once a week in real life. Throw it on with sneakers, flip flops or wedges and layer it with cardigans, jackets or under sweaters. Every prego mama needs a black one, IMO! There’s also a great non-maternity version HERE as well. Black Body Con Cotton Dress (maternity version + non maternity version) | Similar Denim Jacket | Red Bubble Earrings | Minnie Ears | Backpack Diaper Bag | New Balance Sneakers | Camera Ruched Maternity Dress | New Balance Sneakers | Lipstick | Backpack Diaper Bag | Fitness Watch | Layering Necklaces | Fedora Here’s another outfit that I packed and LOVED! These jersey maternity overalls are just about the cutest and most comfy thing of ever and were perfect for a long first day at Magic Kingdom. They are an awesome price, too! Maternity Cotton Jersey Overalls | Long Maternity Tank | Adidas Sneakers | Minnie Ears | Little Girl’s Adidas | Disney X Gap Dress (50% off!) Let’s circle back to footwear for a second…because if a pair of shoes can keep a 30 week pregnant mama comfy in Disney for 12+ hours each day, they deserve a second mention! Of course, I wore the heck out of my Adidas Superstars…they have literally carried me through this pregnancy and I am SO thankful that they are “trendy” right now, because they are so comfortable on my feet. These New Balance were also awesome Disney shoes. They are comfortable, supportive and stylish and kept me going for a long park hopping day. New Balance Sneakers I’m also including these new Nike sneakers that I got because I think that they are the PERFECT Disney shoe and I am super bummed that I didn’t get them in time for our trip! They are slip on, feather weight light and SO comfortable. They ultimate athleisure shoe for Disney at an awesome price, too! Nike Sneakers ($85 in multiple colors) | Updated Tights Now on to what Dad wore! The first thing that he did (on his own, mind you) was stock up on these cheesey novelty tees. I’m not a huge fan, but they made him happy so whatever. They are all pretty much around $10, so they make it easy for Dads to get Disney ready. Disney Novelty Tees (all around $10!) He did mix the tees in with shorts that he brought to wear to the parks and then here are some of the other options that he wore throughout our trip. Packing his favorite golf shirts was a no-brainer. These things are SO comfortable. He also got a new pair of Nike’s for the trip and raved about how comfortable they were. I actually totally approved of them too and think that they are a great neutral Air Max. Slim Fit Button Up | Hubby’s Favorite Golf Shirt | Shorts (tons of colors) | Hat | Nikes Day Two was out coolest day, so he went with his trusty jeans, golf shirt and a lightweight pullover and was totally comfortable for the day. Hat |Hubby’s Favorite Golf Shirt | Jeans | Belt | Lightweight Athletic Pullover | Nikes Another classic option…pullover, golf shirt and comfy shorts! Casual and cool and he stayed comfortable…win win! Hat |Lightweight Athletic Pullover | Shorts | Lightweight Golf Shirt | Similar Casual Belt | No-show Socks that he swears by | Nikes Okay now that you’ve seen what was in our suitcases, I wanted to share a little tip that I learned along the way in regards to packing all of the “fluff” stuff…USE AMAZON PRIME! I forgot my camera charger, so I primed a new one to our Hotel room as we boarded our flight to Disney. It arrived right as my camera battery died and was delivered to our room free of charge. Disney resorts are super accommodative with packages and it really got me thinking that I could have saved myself lots of trouble (and money) by putting together a large Prime order that was set to be delivered on the day of our arrival. Things that I would include: Water bottles and or juice // Let’s face it, water bottles are expensive at the parks and even by bringing 4-5 bottles in your stroller a day, you’ll save about $15. You can always refill them at the park’s water fountains…even though I thought that the tap water tasted ick. Healthy Snacks // Another harsh reality…there are virtually NO healthy snack options in the parks. It just is what it is. Stock up on granola bars, protein bars, trail mix, veggie chips and all things at least semi-healthy to provide some on-the-go snack options for your family while in the parks Wipes // Buy all the wipes. Lysol wipes for surfaces like tables, etc, hand sanitizer wipes as kids get off of rides, and flushable bathroom wipes for wiping tiny booties in the parks (trust me here, the TP sucks). Sunscreen // A super easy item to ship Amazon Prime so that you don’t have to worry about packing it! Other ideas // Toiletries, Coffee, Drink Mixes, Chargers (phone, camera, etc), memory card, cheap sunglasses, foot powder (feet are so smelly after 12+ in parks), games for kids Bottled Water / Juice / RX Bars / Granola Bars /Trail Mix / Veggie Chips / Lysol Wipes / Flushable Wipes / Hand Sanitzier Wipes / Sunscreen Thank you guys so much for joining in on our Disney adventure! I’ll likely write another post about it where I’m sharing some tips and tricks for the parks with a toddler and also more personal photos. If you have any specific questions, please send them my way or leave them below in the comments. Also, please please share this post with any friends or family who are planning a Disney trip! Have a great week! xo Pin This for ideas on what to pack for Disney!
