What I Packed for Scottsdale | Style Your Senses

I could be a total weirdo but I love packing posts! I like seeing what others packed for various trips and how they thought through their outfit ideas. Today I’m sharing everything that I packed for Scottsdale a few weeks back and why I chose each outfit. There are some really great multifunctional pieces and lots of work to weekend ideas for you to put to work in your own closet. So here’s what I packed and how I planned to style each piece. The trip involved a conference, brand meetings, dinners (both casual and dressy) and a little fun. Not your typical trip, but hoping you can pull inspiration from the functionality of the outfits. First of all, this is my GO TO travel outfit. In fact, I wore it on the way there and the way back because it’s so dang comfy! The jeans are a total steal, the bomber has become a weekly staple and the sweater is so soft that you’ll feel like you’re wearing pajamas!

Calpak sent me this chic rose gold carryon and one of their brand new silk travel pillows and I’ve never felt like I was cuter at the airport. I love when things can be stylish AND functional. The carryon is so so practical. It fit 3 pair of shoes and nearly every piece of clothing that you see here. On one side it also has an amazing storage compartment, which was so awesome for storing jewelry, hair tools and undergarments. I HIGHLY recommend this as a carryon if you are in the market.

I traveled to Scottsdale on my actual birthday, so we planned to head out for a fun dinner when we got all checked in. I wore these new Good American jeans for the first time and was completely SOLD on them. I love the rise, wash, length and details so much and feel that they are well worth the investment! I paired them with this $13 Amazon crop that doesn’t show any skin when paired a high rise denim. Topped the outfit off with these really fun beaded earrings.

Being a blogger has some perks, but I would say one of the biggest has to do with dress code when in a business environment. It’s pretty casual and always interpretive. You can almost always dress to your style, as you are a reflection of your brand. For a day full or meetings, this is the outfit I wore…polished and feminine but still a little funky and fashion forward. I paired this girly lilac blazer when with the same high waisted jeans and a feminine tie front top. I loved the combination and feel like there are many ways to dress it up or down.

Next up, I ordered these wide leg pants as a great option for the conference, but they were just a bit too short. I’m showing them to you anyway because they are a wonderful work to weekend option and are on major sale. I think that the length is safe for anyone under 5’7.

They also looked so cute with the ruffled Amazon top if you wanted to take them from day to night!

Here’s how each outfit looks on and here’s a visual as to where the pants hit me. I’m 5’9 and wearing a small for reference.

These lilac crops were one of my favorite purchases for the trip! They are so on trend and the fit is on point—I loved them styled both ways! Since it was unseasonably cold in Scottsdale, I didn’t get to wear either of these, but I plan to save these outfits for upcoming Easter events.

I tucked the infamous $25 Amazon cape top into the high waisted crops and loved the feminine look.

Thankfully I did look at the forecast before leaving and knew to pack cold weather clothes. I loved this maxi skirt + chunky sweater combo. The $22 sweater is a bit cropped, so it tucked nicely into the skirt. This was such a chic and easy look to wear.

Here were two other outfit options should the weather have cooperated! I wanted to show them to you anyway because I really loved them all and they are all affordable. If you have a Spring Break trip coming up, these are great options.

This little leopard dress is a cute and flattering wrap fit. It’s on the shorter side on me but I would definitely wear it with black sandals or as a party dress on the weekend. It’s a total steal for under $50, lots of prints too!

This ruffle romper is the prettiest color and is actually long enough in length and stride for me, which is enough to celebrate! I love it with the leopard earrings and you could totally dress is down with sandals for a beach trip.
