Staying Active in the Summer with Under Armour July 24, 2019 | *This post is sponsored by Under Armour and ShopStyle. So excited to be partnering with Under Armour today to share some new gear and how we stay active during the Summer! This was Landry’s first true Summer break, as she just finished Kinder and heads to first grade. We absolutely loved the structure that came along with school this year and it was obvious that Landry thrived from it too. So, when we thought about Summer plans, we definitely tried to still incorporate some of that structure and physical activity into her weeks off, which has been so beneficial. She’s truly had the Summer of her life, and here’s how she spent it. Me: Tank | Sports Bra | Running Shorts | Running Shoes | Visor Landry: Graphic Tee | Shorts | Sneakers During the weekdays, Landry has a sitter that comes to our home while I work. It’s worked out SO well and they get along great. Here’s her daily schedule: 7:00- Breakfast 8:30-10:00- This is her TV or iPad time for the day. 10:00-11:00- Learning Lesson. Her sitter is also a teacher and Landry learns SO well with her 11:00-12:00- Normally they head to our nearby library to do the lesson and there’s a park next door where she spends the next hour or so playing 12:00-12:30 Lunch 1:00-3:00 This is flex time because Landry is a kid that needs to nap at least 2-3 days a week. Sometimes she naps and then the other days she swims during this time. 3:00-5:00- We pick up Lawson, run errands, play and cook dinner 5:00-6:30- Some nights we are back to the fields for practice 6:60-7:30- Dinner, Bath and Bed Add on top weekly playdates, camps and sports and she really had had the Summer of her life. She’s totally come out of her shell and into her own and her confidence is at an all time high. It’s been so precious to watch! This Spring and Summer Landry also chose to play T-Ball and soccer. It was so much fun watching her learn and grow on the field and really understanding what it meant to be part of a team and team player. She’s learned so much through sports already and it’s kept her active and busy this Summer, which is a huge win! I love to see her running her little heart out on the soccer field or swinging with all of her might during T-Ball! Sports really do play a big part in building confidence early on and I’m thankful that she’s been on such great little teams here. Under Armour gear keeps her looking adorable and staying comfy, too! Meanwhile, I’m perfecting my soccer mom look and I loved this entire outfit from Under Armour! It’s functional, easy to wear and I still felt confident wearing it. This sports bra was a great foundation piece and I really liked the fit and support. I’ve been wearing it non-stop and it totally holds up even for an intense workout. The other pieces are my weekend uniform—a great tank (this one is breathable and I love the cut of it), a good pair of athletic shorts (love the print on these), and sneakers (these are SO comfy and I really like the chic black look). After starting school, there was definitely a shift in what Landry preferred to wear. Normally she would wear a little cotton dress everyday during the warmer months, but now she 100% prefers activewear all the time. Thankfully brands like Under Armour make functional clothes for girls that are still feminine and also very functional for their activities. Not only that, but I love that their activewear clothes can also work for Back to School as well. She will be wearing this clear through October which is a win in my book. Girl’s Graphic Tees: “A Mother who radiates self love and acceptance, vaccinates her daughter with self-esteem” -Naomi Wolf Y’all are going to think that this is out of left field, but one thing in my closet that I could never live without is my visor. I wear visors all of the time when I’m active and especially like the clean look of this UA one! I wear them for running and anytime I’m outdoors playing with the girls or at sports. Not only do they shield my face from the sun, but I still get to wear my ponytail, which is a win in my book. They are also more breathable than a regular ball cap, which I can appreciate in this Texas heat.
