Try On Session / Nordstrom Summer + Spring May 22, 2018 | Good Morning, friends! How are you?? I feel like I am steadily working towards the long weekend and I know that a lot of you mamas are trying to cross the finish line of the school year. It’s such a crazy busy time of year, which is why I decided to do another try on session with a variety of clothes. You guys message me everyday with requests for pieces that you just don’t have the time to shop for, so I tried to hit most of them in this post. I’m also trying something new today and am detailing out just how I would style the piece, taking you to very specific items that I would use to pull an outfit together. You can use this post as an easy guide and if you do buy one of the pieces you can always reference back for some quick styling tips. I’m trying on everything from casual tees, to coordinates and cocktail dresses in my Nordstrom summer + spring try-on session, so here goes…. *Note that the item description will now be placed UNDER the image of that item, you guys have sent some feedback that this might make things easier to read, especially on mobile. Nordstrom Summer + Spring Outfits: I reached for this gingham top faster than you could blink…because pink + gingham….duh! It’s such a lightweight material, so it’s perfect for summer no matter how warm it gets where you are. I love the thought of front tucking it into your favorite shorts or knotting up the front with your favorite pair of high waisted jeans. Overall it’s designed to have more of a generous fit, I’m wearing a Small here. Woven Check Shirt | TTS / Wearing a Small / Comes in multiple colors Wear With: These Shorts / These Sandals / These Earrings / This cute bag This ice cream blue color caught my eye and I thought that it was such a cute + casual top that could easily be dressed up during the summer. I love that the flutter sleeve detail + the tie back make it feel polished, but it’s still comfortable enough to wear everyday. The price is also AH-mazing. Stripe Flutter Sleeve Top with Tie Back | TTS / Wearing a Small / Also comes in yellow Wear With: These Jeans / These Wedges / These Earrings / This bag THIS DRESS IS EVERYTHING! Y’all it’s so so cute and super versatile. If you have a more casual work environment (teacher, creative, etc)…this is for you. If you are a mama and love wearing dresses in the Summer…this is for you. It’s completely reversible so that you can totally change up the look. The details and fit are on point and it comes in 4 colors. I thought that the small was a great fit without pulling. Reversible Stripe Dress | TTS / Wearing a Small / Comes in 4 other colors Wear With: These slides or These espadrilles / This bag / These casual earrings Anytime there’s a maxi dress under $50, you know I’m trying it on! This one is under $50 and such a great fit. It flatters the upper body and totally skims down over the lower body, flattering but not tight. You could easily wear this dressed up or down and even transition it to Fall with a denim jacket on top. The small was a perfect fit. Flutter Sleeve Maxi Dress Wear With: These sandals / These earrings / Or even dress up with these heels This jumpsuit is by far one of my favorite pieces that I’ve tried on recently! The colors are so bold and the design is thoughtful and fun, which is so refreshing. The black trim highlights and flatters and the straps are adjustable and interchangable, making it easy to switch up or adjust. If you have a wedding or event that you want to look amazing for…definitely consider this! I’m wearing a 4 here and felt that it was TTS. Bold Floral Jumpsuit Wear with: These Heels / These earrings / This Clutch Remember this lace dress that was EVERYONE’S favorite??? Well now she has a sassy younger sister that spices things up a little. This red number is AMAZING on and definitely a show stopper. The small fit like a glove and I thought that it was an insanely good deal at well under $100! Red Lace Dress | TTS This is a Small Wear With: These Heels / These Earrings / This Clutch I’ve been dying to find a coordinates set that I actually thought was cute + flattering and most of all appropriate (ie no crop tops for this mama) and this one fit the bill…praise be! I was surprised at how much I liked the colors once I put them on and the sublte ruffle details are too cute. What I love about this set is that #1 it’s affordable but #2 you could easily wear the pieces separately and totally switch up the look to create multiple outfits. I’m wearing M’s in both for a little extra room and really like the fit. Coordinates Set | Top + Bottom Wear With: These Sandals / These Earrings / This Bag Another coord set that I thought was cute and the same principles apply…affordable and easy to switch up! Wearing a M in the top (should have done a S) and and XS in the bottoms so that I could wear it higher on the waist. Coordinates Set | Top + Bottom Wear with: These Wedges / This bag This tunic tee was just too soft not to try on. The cut is uber flattering, it’s a great length and I could see nearly every mama in America owning and loving this! Wearing a small here and like the fit. It also comes in a ton of colors. Super Soft Tunic Wear With: These Jeans or These Shorts / This casual necklace / These sandals / This versatile tote Same goes for this casual top. Super soft, affordable and functional for everyday. The side tie gives you some shape and totally flatters. Wearing a small here and love the fit. Side Tie Tee Wear With: These Jeans or These Shorts / These casual earrings / These sandals / This versatile tote Turn on your JavaScript to view content I hope that this Nordstrom summer + spring Try On Session was helpful for you! Jessica Fry says May 23, 2018 at 3:57 PM I’m just curious… Are you sure that the link or the super soft tunic is correct? The picture that comes up for the council and short sleeve tunic looks awfully different than what you’re wearing. Just want to doublecheck!
Style Your Senses says May 24, 2018 at 10:22 AM Hey girl! Yes, it’s the same one! I usually match the exact style numbers when i’m there. To me, it actually looks like the white option pictured on the site. Hope this helps 🙂
Jessica Fry says May 23, 2018 at 3:58 PM *sorry typo above…Should have said that when I click on your link it on the Nordstrom page it comes up as the Caslon short sleeve tunic for $39 is that the right shirt?
