The Very Best Black Bodysuit September 13, 2019 | This post is sponsored by Nordstrom and Shopstyle I’ve been on the hunt for a great transitional bodysuit for months now. I’ve probably ordered and returned 5-6 of them—-too short, too sheer, the buttons feel like a battery pack in the WRONG place (lol), etc. etc. Bodysuits can be VERY tricky, but I stayed the course because I absolutely love the look of a bodysuit and am convinced that it’s an essential Fall closet staple. Today I’m writing a post rejoicing in that I FOUND THE VERY BEST BLACK BODYSUIT and I’m so happy that I’m writing an entire post about how much I love it! To prove how versatile and transitional a black bodysuit can be, I’ve styled it casually, dressed up and even for work. I had so much fun working on this post, I hope that you find it helpful! The Very Best Black Bodysuit: Styled 3 Ways Black Bodysuit (Sizing: I’m wearing the S/M and am 5’9 size 4. It fits just right without much wiggle room. I’d say overall it runs small in my opinion and if you’re on the fence it’s not a bad idea to size up) Styled Casually: The first look I’m sharing is how I would style it casually. I loved this look so much that I wore it all day after shooting and have even worn it again since. I simply paired it with my favorite high waisted jeans and sneakers and I had a casual and overall simple look that felt elevated and chic. What I love most about a bodysuit is that technically no one has to know that you’re wearing a bodysuit, but instead it just stays in place and gives you a super smooth and flattering silhouette. Black Bodysuit (S/M) | Jeans (4) | Sneakers | Crossbody | Sunnies | Earrings | Lipstick I should also point out that this particular bodysuit has slimming technology built in (I LOVE this brand!) and is also a thong, which I think is super important for a bodysuit if you don’t want panty lines. Styled for a Night Out: I think that this outfit makes for the chicest date night or girls night look and could technically also be dressed down with sneakers for a more casual feel. The black on black pieces with pops of print and gold makes for a monochromatic look that’s flattering and so easy to wear. Black Bodysuit (S/M) | Jeans (4)| Heels | Necklace | Lipstick | Earrings | Sunnies | Bag I’ll also noted that these are more of a mid-rise jean (and they’re also awesome, I blogged about them in THIS POST), but it’s important to noted that the cut of the bodysuit doesn’t ride up too high, making it impossible to wear with anything but high rise jeans. I think that this one works with high rise, and mid rise jeans—which is a huge win! Styled for Work: I think that styling this bodysuit for work and LOVING the look was probably the most unexpected thing that I appreciated about it, truly proving how versatile it can be. I found these high waisted culottes and love them so much that I’m writing an entire post about them so stay tuned for that, but for now I love how they paired with this bodysuit for a super chic office outfit. Black Bodysuit (S/M) | Black Culottes (4) | Sunnies | Tote Bag | Nude Heels | Earrings | Lipstick Other ways to style a black bodysuit: With a flowy Maxi Skirt | Under a chic Blazer | With a Sassy Mini Skirt If you’ve been on the hunt for a great black bodysuit, with a feminine and flattering silhouette, I hope that you give this one a try. Well worth the money spent because it will absolutely work overtime in your closet! I loved that I could also easily find a ton to pair this bodysuit with at Nordstrom, from feminine to edgy–they always have on trend styles to choose from to fit any aesthetic!
