The Friday Edit

Oh heyyyy back with a Friday Edit!!! It’s been two weeks since I’ve written one and, not even going to lie, I missed it! I love putting everything in one place and seeing what your favorites from the week were. Whew what a busy week…so far, there are 5 new posts and one planned for this weekend! That might be a record y’all! I’ve been a busy busy bee. If you’re reading this we are either mid-ultrasound or already know what baby F #2 is! Eeeeek. Catching up, we tried to find out on 11/28, but the little stinker wouldn’t show the goods. Hopefully with some growing over the last two weeks and some migrating into my upper abdomen (um ouch, expanding rib cages are for the birds) we will be able to easily see what’s going on down there. The previous ultra-sound tech gave us a few hints, but wouldn’t confirm so we are really anxious for the big day! I promise promise to let everyone in on the secret ASAP!

It’s been a huge week for the blog and there have been so many new visitors…so WELCOME new friends! If this is your first time reading an Edit it’s really just a smoorgasborg (spelling?)  of everything that happened over the week…what the top blog posts were, most loved outfits, best instagrams, things I’m loving from around the web and also any sales that you can’t miss. Holiday Home Tour 2016 | This is always one of the top posts of the YEAR…you guys love a good festive home tour. Thanks for all of the love this year! I think that the wreaths on the bay windows were definitely the most popular on Pinterest (such an easy idea, right?) and the flocked ombre tree continues to a favorite. See the full post HERE.

The style post for the week was about a “Trend to Try” and that trend is cold shoulder sweaters. Cold shoulder and off the shoulder were so big this Summer and I love how they’ve carried over to sweaters for Winter. Mr. UPS man will be delivering my Christmas present to myself (whoops) this week! I finally caved on this quilted beauty, as I really don’t have a go-to black bag. Not even going to lie, I started snooping nursery designs this week and I’m secretly getting REAL excited! They only true inspiration that I have is for a baby boy room, though…is this a sign? The gingham in this little space had me all googl-y eyed!

We discussed the cold shoulder trend a lot this week and my friend Laura sent me this top she found on sale and I LOVE it!! It’s not a sweater, but more of a blouse and on sale for under $50 in a ton of colors. I might size up for this belly and give it a whirl.
