Mom Style Monday | Summer Style

Hi Friends! Yes, I am alive and well and really apologize for the lack of posting over the past two weeks. To be completely honest, my exhaustion from weeks of little to no sleep caught up with me and I decided to close my computer, take a break and rest up until I was excited about blogging again. I spent the time catching up with friends, enjoying my family in town, and snuggling my two sweet girls. It was so so good for me and I am happy to report that I am back and, more importantly, EXCITED to be sitting behind this screen again.

If you are new here, on the first Monday of each month I team up with my friends Cristin and Kate and we put together a link up called Mom Style Monday. Each month we put out a loose theme and all of our blogger friends link up their best looks from the month and it serves as a great resource for moms who are seeking some easy style guidance. This month we are talking Effortless Summer Style and instead of showing you just one outfit, I thought that I would roundup all of my Summer looks thus far and put them together in one place so that you can see how many times I’m wearing and how versatile my favorite pieces are! At the end of the post I’m also listing my TOP 5 Summer Staples thus far!

These elastic waist shorts (all the moms rejoice) are comfortable as heck but also don’t lack style with their fluid silkish fabric and lace trim details. Also, don’t miss these earrings. Anyone else LOVE turquoise for Summer?!

Not going to lie, I planned this entire outfit around these earrings! How amazing are they?! This OTS tunic comes in black and white now and I highly recommend it! It’s a great length, stays put and is under $50. Wear the black one on a date night with white skinnies and the white one with distressed jeans and sandals.

I bought these Ray Bans this Spring and have truly loved them. I picked up the mirrored tortoise shell pair on a whim and love that they are $12 and I don’t really have to worry about keeping up with them or taking special care of them. A great Summer buy!

Embellished slides are a great way to step up your mom style game for the Summer. Not only are they functional, lightweight and easy to wear…these are also super on-trend. As you can see from this post, I’ve been living in both pair!

I’ve raved about this tank before, but if you have yet to try it I would definitely suggest buying one for Summer. It comes in a ton of colors and is super lightweight for warm weather. At under $20, you won’t regret it!

One of the most popular posts in recents weeks was the Style Board post that I did on Summer Athleisure Style for Moms. One of my favorite pieces (that I personally own in two colors), is this flat front tennis skirt. It’s so cute to run errands in and is form flattering and so comfy.

This maxi dress was something that I bought right before Lawson was born and I had no idea how much I would end up loving it. First of all, it’s fully lined all the way to the bottom (which I feel is SO rare these days), but it’s also nursing friendly due to the shoulder tie straps and is form flattering with the tie at waist. Such a great summer Mom Style staple and one that can be dressed up or down so easy.
