Summer Nights with eBay | Style Your Senses

I am actually writing this post from the exact space that I am about to share with you. It’s quickly become my favorite spot in the house, and not because it’s the fanciest, but because it’s the most fun and functional. Today I’m sharing a little more about our outdoor space and how to recreate the look with eBay.

Living in the suburbs here means that you typically sacrifice yard for house/pool and that’s exactly the scenario with our home. We have a very small outdoor space and yard overall and have to make the best of it. We also have 3 huge windows in our main interior common area that all look out onto the pool so we have to make sure that the aesthetic outside is clean, tidy and not too cluttered. Originally we had a dining table and 6 chairs in this space and, while we did enjoy it there, it was SO crowded and jumbled in such a small space. My friend was getting rid of this teak wood set and I jumped at the opportunity. I absolutely love the look and how the clean lines and beautiful teak wood look against the off-white cushions. It brightened the space so much and makes the perfect spot for drinking my morning coffee, blogging in the evenings or drinking a glass of wine while Dan grills. Summer Entertaining outside | Style Your Senses

Overall, I kept the set as is with beautiful clean lines, but I did add in these beautiful powder blue cabana stripe pillows. I love how they pop against the pool water and this powder blue is used in our living room as well, so it ties the two spaces together. eBay has an AMAZING selection of outdoor pillows HERE.

Overall, you can see that we kept it simple but functional! There’s a spot for towels (you cannot beat the price of THESE navy cabana towels on eBay!) so that the girls can easily access them after the pool and a place to keep sunscreen and goggles so that they can get right in. I love that everything is so functional without feeling crowded or cluttered. It’s such a peaceful space for me and I have throughly enjoyed it this Summer. I found every single thing that we used (or VERY similar) on eBay for amazing prices and I will source below. One of the MOST used things in the below photo is the shrinking water hose. I’ve never felt more old as I do now….about to rave about a water hose…but this one really is great. Have you guys tried these? They are so functional and don’t leave ANY water stagnant in the hose and basically shrink down to 1/3 the size of a regular hose, making them much more aesthetically pleasing in a common area. Summer Greek Orzo Salad:

3 (ish) Cups Cooked and Drained Orzo
1 Cup Crumbled Feta
Cherry Tomatoes
Diced Cucumber
Chopped Parsley
Diced Red Bell Pepper
Dash of Oregano
Salt and Pepper to taste
I also use a little garlic powder.

Other things that you can add:
Olives
Artichokes

Dressing:
1/3 cup EVOO
1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
3 tbsp Lemon Juice
1tsp Minced Garlic
(Whisk all ingredients together and pour over the salad mixture and toss well)

Refrigerate for 3-6 hours before serving.
