Cousins + BFF’s June 16, 2016 | Today’s post is one of my favorites in a long time for many reasons…not only is Landry sharing some things with you, she’s also invited her sweet cousin (+ BFF) Annie to join her for today’s post. Annie and Landry were meant to be best friends. My sister and I gave birth to these little loves only 3 days apart and they have had such a special bond ever since. It’s been so much fun watching them grow up together and watching how their personalities and relationship grow…I will treasure these photos of them forever. Now if only they would listen to me when I tell them to stop growing up! Today I partnered with one of my favorite brands, Nordstrom, and I’m sharing why they are my go-to for kids clothes. Not only is their in-store shopping experience so family friendly, but their online assortment for kids is absolutely the best. I know that they always have my favorite kids brands available online and that shipping and returning is always free. My sister definitely prefers traditional, southern clothing and I sway more towards trendy pieces. When we are together it’s always fun to talk through what clothes we are loving and what pieces we’ve found that just “work” …if you know what I mean. There are a hand full of brands that we ALWAYS agree on and things that we both buy season after season for these growing gals. Consistently on the list of brands we both adore are Mini Boden, Tea Collection, Salt Water Sandals and Native shoes. First, let’s chat shoes. Never in a million years would I expect to be advocating rubber shoes on my blog for sweet girls…but here I am and I stand behind it. If your toddler does not yet have a pair of Natives, you are currently not living your best mom life. They are easy to slip on, great for anything from park to pool, can be hosed down and actually still have a pretty high style factor, IMO. The perforated design also allows for them to still be breathable in the heat of the summer. Honestly, they are a game changer. Not shocking, my sister had the same idea, but opted for the Toms style in the exact same pink color. I love the retro feel of the floral print and how colorful and fun it is for Summer. Shortly after this photo, this dress was soaked with chocolate ice cream and I was SO pleased with the way it laundered in the washing machine…which is exactly the kind of great quality that I know and love from Mini Boden. Favorites from Mini Boden: Turn on your JavaScript to view content I mean how sweet are these baby girls…I just love them so much that my heart wants to explode. Another one of our all time favorite brands is Salt Water Sandals. Definitely a Southern staple, I feel like these are great for any kids’ style. They are easy to walk in (Landry actually learned to walk in her first pair), comfortable for kids, are completely uni-sex and they really really last. Our tradition is that Landry always gets a new pair in her Easter basket…it’s a symbol of a new season ahead and some warm weather to come! I’ve saved all of her previous pair and plan to eventually frame them. Between our babies, we have amassed quite the collection… Turn on your JavaScript to view content Annie is wearing another one of our top picks, Tea Collection. Tea Collection takes play clothes to the next level. Their collections are always comfortable, washable, wearable and functional…yet they still have on-trend silhouettes, darling prints and fun colors to keep things fresh. I especially love Tea for things like pre-school and Summer playdates…those times when you KNOW that your kiddo is going to end up dirty, but you still don’t want to send them in sloppy clothes…Tea is definitely the answer. There are tons of cute dresses and mix and match separates for boys and girls HERE. Favorites from Tea Collection: Turn on your JavaScript to view content To my sweet girls…I hope that you always hold hands, and laugh, and talk about princesses, and eat popsicles, and run carelessly while giggling uncontrollably. I hope that the distance between you two is always only physical and never within your hearts. Having a first cousin and a best friend in one person is something special and I hope that you two stay best friends forever… Thank you so much for stopping by today. These babies are a huge piece of my heart and I think that they made a pretty darn cute mini blogger duo 🙂 This post was published in collaboration with Nordstrom….all content, opinions and suggestions made within the post are my own.
