Style Board Series | Casual + Cool Splurge or Steal

Good Morning, Friends! Long time no speak! I took a little break over the last few days to slow down and enjoy some Summer days with my family. Little Landry has learned to swim over the past few weeks and now we cannot get her out of the pool. She asks to go nearly everyday and I happily oblige and soak in her learning something new.

I know that we are all a little sick of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so I thought that I would try something new today. Since the big sale has us thinking about Fall style, I put together a casual + cool transitional outfit that you can wear now with sandals and later with booties and a cardigan. I love the ruffle tank as the base layer for a girly touch. Throw on simple gold earrings and your favorite gold watch and you have an effortlessly chic look that will take you through Fall! The question is…Splurge or Steal???

All of these pieces are great to consider, but I especially think that this little ruffle tank is something to scoop up quickly. It’s an awesome basic and great top to layer with as the weather cools. It comes in a ton of colors and I think that the white, blush and army green are awesome staples for Fall. I also REALLY love the cuffed denim here. They are under $100 and I think that this brand always makes really great quality denim for an awesome price. I’m thinking that I’m going to nab these for Fall because they are on-trend, and can really be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Splurge Outfit: $2,003

The splurge look is almost identical, but just has a few elevated pieces, should you want to invest in things like cashmere and designer labels. I would definitely skip the $250 ruffle tank here, but I truly loved these cuffed jeans when I tried them on last week. They are more of a traditional denim fit (think less stretch) and a good price on sale. Now that I know Rag and Bone Jeans fit me decently, I’ve been eyeing SO many things from their pre-Fall selection! I *love* these booties and would definitely consider them (even given the $200 price tag). I know that I would wear this color and style nearly every.single.day and I think that the pointed toe and neutral color does wonders for elongating the leg! Also…this bag…SWOOOON!
