Staying Creative: b.joyful.illustrations June 15, 2015 | One day I was so surprised to find a beautiful illustration of my sweet girl and I tagged on Instagram and immediately knew I had to know more about the artist and her inspiration. Turns out, Brittany (b.joyful.illustrations) came across the below photo on Instagram and created an illustration from it. I was so impressed and because this is one of my favorite photos in quite some time…it’s that much more special. So, I invited Brittany to share more about herself and her business today on the blog as part of a (long long overdue) installment of “Staying Creative.” Here’s what she shared: “Drawing has always been a huge passion of mine. Over the years my love of fashion and home decor has grown. My 25th birthday was right around the corner and I was determined to do something that brought me joy for my quarter century celebration. After coming up with a couple of ideas I decided to combine my 2 passions and see what happens. With the support from my friends, fiancé, and family I took a chance and opened b. joyful illustrations on etsy. I never would have thought that people would like to have my illustrations in their home. It is an amazing feeling that I can’t describe. I am flattered and honored. The name of my shop was a play on my first and middle name; Brittany Joy. The point of my illustrations is to bring joy to people’s homes and lives. I am inspired by my own life events, what is going on in the world, and pretty much anything that brings me happiness. My shop’s Instagram account hosts all of my daily illustrations. I plan to add more to my shop in the coming months. So far this has been an amazing start to 25 and I plan to continue to bring the joy to the world.” My mission statement is: “b. joyful illustrations is dedicated to bringing joyful illustrations to your home or business. By combining crisp design with a dash of stylish sass, these illustrations will give any room a personality. By working with you, b. joyful illustrations will help design a unique piece. We’re aware everyone / business has a different personality. Our shop is here to help let it show.” Isn’t her work beautiful?? Head over to her ETSY SHOP for more goodness and then make sure to check my Instagram because Brittany was sweet enough to offer to host a GIVEAWAY and one lucky reader will win a beautiful illustration!!! Have a great week, loves!
