Shower Styling July 1, 2013 | One of my dearest friends is getting married in less than a month! OMG time is flying! The story is funny…she called to tell me she was engaged and I had found out the day before that I was pregnant…oh and I also told her that D would be taking the job in Charlotte. Lots o’ GOOD news between the two of us last June. Anyway, as much as I have been dying to attend all of her celebrations, I have been forced to celebrate my sweet M from afar…and seriously, it’s breaking my heart. As I have quickly learned precious LK is the boss applesauce and truthfully, I was not ready to leave her. Needless to say, I missed the bachelorette blowout in New Orleans last weekend and literally sat at home in NC and drowned my sorrows in an obscene amount of Moose Tracks ice cream. Sigh. I did however send over some fun shower decorations so that I could selfishly feel like I was still a part of everything. Since I am in dire need of as many creative outlets as possible these days, I decided to style it all out purdy and put it up here for you guys to see. I wanted it to be soft and girly…and sparkly of course (my house is still covered in glitter). As well as still fun and flirty with no signs of hot pink/black and/or any sort of zebra print 😉 I based it around the fabulous floral print paper that I found at Michael’s. in love. The shower was held at the Blo Bar on Magazine in New Orleans, so the favors were mini-sized hairsprays for the gals to take along with them for the night to keep their ‘do’s looking fabulous. Hope that you enjoy this little mini vignette and have some flirty inspiration on this Monday! The Invite. email me @ mallorywomack@gmail.com if you are interested in custom invitations. Details: Banner: All Paper: Michaels Ribbon: Michaels Gold Letters: Michaels Chalkboard Signs: Michaels Straws: Michaels (with handcut pennants) Vintage trays, Cake stands Stamp: Paper Source (for cupcake toppers, not shown) Hairspray: Travel section, Target Invitations: Designed by me. Lots of DIY and tracing/cutting, but I love the banners. Cheers to lots of “Oh La La”…
