This has been on my heart for some time now and I have been nose down working on it behind the scenes for the past several months. Ahhhh, so there you go! Shop Style Your Senses is now officially open and here are all of the details!  

SHOP STYLE YOUR SENSES | THE BACKSTORY:

I’ve always loved style. In fact, I majored in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising in College and had NO idea what I would do with that degree, but knew my heart was in fashion. I’ll never forget that on my final project in college I wrote down that I was going to be a “Boutique Owner in Dallas.” Following that dream, I moved to Dallas to buy out a women’s clothing store, where I gained lots of operations and buying experience—but overall it wasn’t a good fit for me to buy out. I moved on to gain retail experience at Henri Bendel and corporate buying experience at the JcPenney HQ offices here in Dallas. After having Landry, I turned my corporate keys in and planned to be a stay at home mom–which was when the blog was born. Looking back God was weaving such an amazing plan for me.

Six years later, I have this platform of thousands of like-minded women, whom I am lucky enough to call friends. The blog has been a blessing beyond measure and truly nothing that I could have ever even dreamed up. Through the process, I’ve gotten to know SO many of you on a personal level and hearing your stories about finding yourselves again and gaining confidence back….all through a great outfit…it fills my heart in a more purposeful way than I ever knew was possible.

SHOP STYLE YOUR SENSES | WHY I MOVED FORWARD WITH IT:

I missed boutique shopping. Growing up in Louisiana, we don’t really have department stores like Nordstrom- so I always grew up shopping at local boutiques. I loved the curated feel, knew that not all of my friends would be wearing what I bought and felt like each piece was hand picked and special.

As a blogger, I wasn’t able to shop at boutiques as much, because if I wanted to share my outfit inspiration with you all—it needed to be something that I was able to link and that you were able buy and access easily–meaning it was likely from a department store or large online retailer. Truthfully, a small part of me really missed the boutique experience and that’s when I realized that’s what I wanted to personally bring to YOU!

I had the experience, the vendor relationships, finally felt settled and wanted to offer boutique style clothes (at amazing prices) to you and meet you where you are to shop it. And by meet you where you are, I really mean MAKE IT EASY and fuss free! I’m also committed to buying smaller quantities in everything (legit 20-30 pieces total and never more than 100), to ensure that you receive a special piece that not everyone will be wearing.

My goal is to cater to a broad range of women, I want there to truly be something for everyone at some point. YOU, your moms, your pregnant friends, your nursing friends…you name it…she’s welcome here! I want the Shop Style Your Senses pieces to have a curated, fashion forward feel, but also be pieces that function for your everyday busy lives. On top of that, the quality will be competitive and the prices will be very affordable! We are talking $15-55!

SHOP STYLE YOUR SENSES | HOW IT WILL WORK:

IT’S EASY Y’ALL! If you are now putting all of the pieces together—the Closet Sale was all a trial run for the launch of the Shop! Here’s how it will work:

One | The good stuff happens in the “Shop Style Your Senses” Facebook group! All you have to do is request access HERE and we will approve for you to join. From there, you will be the first to see new arrivals and have dibs on shopping them before anyone else!

Two | After you’ve requested access, sign up with Comment Sold (our back end software that makes things so seamless for you) here:

Once you verify your Facebook or Instagram account once, you will be signed up with us and ready to shop!

Three | We will be two posting new arrivals daily–once in the morning and once at night! Make sure that you have your notifications turned on to be the first to know. We will include images of me wearing the clothing items and there will also be a fit review (of clothing only) in the first comment. The listing will contain sizes offered, colors offered and any other important details. If you see something that you want to buy, all you have to do is comment:

SOLD, WHICH COLOR YOU’D LIKE, WHICH SIZE YOU’D LIKE

For example, it could look like this: SOLD, PINK, SMALL From there, an invoice will be sent to your email and/or Facebook messenger. Once paid (you have 24 hours to pay before the item drops out of your cart), your chic new piece will be on it’s way to you! It’s SO easy!

Q: What if I don’t have Facebook? No problem! Everything that posts to Facebook will also post to our site here, where you can easily shop. Facebook makes it a touch easier because you can get notifications, but it’s not totally necessary. I’ll also post everything to my stories, with swipe ups to the website!

If you’re clicking into it now, don’t panic if nothing shows, it will begin populating as we start to post on Facebook 🙂

Q: What if something sells out and I didn’t snag it? While we aren’t going to be buying massive stock of anything at this time, we will take waitlists and fill up to 100 waitlist orders if our vendors have additional inventory. If you are added to the waitlist, make sure to “authorize” your place in line and then once we secure that item for you, your card will be charged automatically and the item shipped out.

Q: What does shipping look like? There’s a $3 flat rate shipping fee that we will waive if you check out within the first hour after receiving your invoice! There’s also always free shipping over $75!

Q: WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE BLOG????? Absolutely NOTHING! I still plan to give 100% to the blog and have hired an awesome team to help me with the Shop! I love the blog more than words and it will remain at the top of my priority list. I’ll still be doing Amazon hauls and try-ons from your favorite retailers and room reveals, so not to worry! The Shop is just a little icing on the cake, when you want something special from more of a boutique type retailer.

As this launches, I cannot thank you enough for being here…for reading this, for sharing in my excitement as I open a new chapter and for sharing it with your friends.
