Scenes From My Weekend: Family in Town June 19, 2013 | This past weekend not only did my mom come to visit us in CLT, but my sister and sweet little AG also made the trip! ::For those of you who don’t know, my sister and I gave birth three days apart…biggest.blessing.ever.:: It was a fairly spur of the moment trip and boy did I ever need it. With two 4 mo old babies in tow, each trip out of the house was more like conducting a three ring circus…but that did not stop us…we bopped around all weekend and even snuck in some pics of my sweet gals together. Friday we braved Southpark and actually found some pretty great deals. I got the J. Crew neon sandals and a top that I had been eyeing on great sale. My mom snagged some adorable flats and of course the girls got outfits….success! Friday night we went to the Food Truck Roundup @ the Southend. We planned to meet up with a few of my good girlfriends here. It was so great that they were able to meet my mom and sister…and vice versa! We brought picnic blankets and toys and let the girls play while we decided on which Food Truck we would grab dinner from. We all decided on burgers (judging by the line, everyone felt the same way). By the end of it, ALL of the lines were long so lesson learned…get there early. For dessert, we had some sort of sweet and salty ice cream amazingness (imagine sea salt rim, with vanilla ice cream, topped with an obscene amount of caramel and hot fudge). OMG I have thought about stalking that dang ice cream truck all week. dear baby Jesus please let me look like this when I’m fifty something 🙂 LK loves her some Claire melt my heart in a bazillion pieces This is called “Gigi in heaven” Saturday we started off kinda lazy and hung out in our jammies and played/chatted over coffee (lots of coffee). We finally made it out for lunch (ending in a not so appetizing accident) and then hit a few boutiques for the gals and sat on a patio for Arnold Palmers and an afternoon dessert. Day two of the circus was pretty exhausting so we went home, and ordered takeout and spent a lazy evening just hanging out. seriously, is this not the cutest thing!? They really started to notice each other and reach out to play. makes my heart smile so very big. I can’t get enough of this. It’s crazy how different they look here, but in an instant they can look exactly alike. Gosh I love these baby girls! Boo on not taking ANY pics of us all together! BUT, I am so thankful that we were able to spend such a great weekend together! Here’s to sweet baby girls!
