Mood Board Monday: Decorating with Rose Quartz January 25, 2016 | Happy Monday Friends! This week I’ve decided that it’s all about Valentine’s Day on the blog. I don’t care what anyone says, I love a good excuse to wear pink and red and celebrate love. I’m going to kick it off with something a little less lovey-dovey and more on trend…and that’s how to decorate with Rose Quartz. Unless you live under a rock, you know that Pantone chose not one but TWO colors of the year. They are Serenity (a pale, icy blue) and Rose Quartz (a dusty blush pink). So many people have been chattering about the selections and, all the while, I’ve been over here doing a happy dance. I actually love both colors and am especially fond of Rose Quartz. I have been gravitating back towards pastels and this beautiful hue is a perfect segway. I’ve gathered some beautiful inspiration photos as to how you can work Rose Quartz into your home and also rounded up my favorite decor pieces that are available now. How about these chairs?? The stuff dreams are made of at the Sugar Paper HQ! Image Via Lonny (Sugar Paper HQ) How amazing are these silk dupioni panels in Rose Quartz? Oh my! I could certainly see myself getting ready in this room, right?! Image Via This has always been one of my all time favorite rooms and I love how the putty colored walls make the blush drapes pop. Image Via Style Me Pretty I never thought that I would be head over heels in love with pink subway tile in a bathroom until I saw this amazingness. I want to replicate this exact shower! Image Via Apartment Therapy Love how the pink paint makes the moulding really pop! Image Via This tufted velvet headboard is so beautiful, such a statement piece in a girly, glam room! Image Via Lonny Tips on decorating with Rose Quartz: -Pair it with gold! Gold is a warm metal that plays up blush perfectly! -Add luxurious texture. Pair your pinks with rich velvets, or silks…they really enhance the glam factor. -Pops of stark white or clean black are always a good idea, they really play up the pink JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Mary says January 25, 2016 at 1:51 PM If you’d like some rose quartz carpet, I’ll be ripping it out of my dated bedroom as soon as our tax return comes back, lol. Although I’d have to say, it’s more of what I would call Mauve. Love the pieces above though, just not on my floor.
