Pleated Maxi Dress Worn 3 Ways August 14, 2017 | Hiya friends! How was your weekend?? First, thanks for being so open to having the Friday Edit hit your inboxes on Sunday. Would you rather it then? Most seemed to like it! Moving right along, you guys LOVED last weeks one dress three ways post so much that I decided to write another one with a completely different dress! This pleated maxi dress struck me as such a gorgeous dress to round out Summer in, but I didn’t quite realize just how functional it would be! First of all, I put it on and immediately felt like my 4 year old in her favorite princess dress. It’s so twirly and flowy and just makes a girl feel good. The pleats and drapey fit are forgiving and the halter neckline is still super flattering. As I pranced around my house in it (lol visual of that), I realized that I really could do a lot that with it from a versatility standpoint…so here ya go…how to wear it THREE ways! ((See the end of the post for fit details and bra info)) Option 1 | End of Summer Casual Since it’s not really going to cool off anytime soon, you will still get a lot of use out of it worn casually. Throw on your favorite fedora and flip flips and look cute while staying cool. This dress will be the FIRST thing in my suitcase to bring on our Labor Day Weekend beach trip! Think pumpkin picking, Fall family photos, or just a Sunday brunch while enjoying the crisp Fall air! This denim jacket is hands down one of my favorite buys as of late. I love the ruffle details and it’s a welcomed upgrade to the denim jacket that I’ve had since college. #shame. I’m wearing the same teething necklace (aka cute for babies and adults) that I wore in last week’s post and love the contrast against this ultra femme dress. Pair it with your favorite felt floppy hat for a cozy cool weather look. This dress was SO easy to dress up and still feel like a million bucks in! I pulled my hair up and added some statement earrings as well as some heels and there ya go…a really jazzed up look with the same $88 dress that you can also wear to the beach! Watch FIT INFO: Height: 5’9 Weight: 150 Size: 6 (forgiving fit, so I think that I could have sized down to a 4) I’m wearing a, ivory bandeau bra with it, which did peek out a little. It didn’t bother me, but you could also wear pasties or a low back strapless bra if this might bug you. This dress is also lined ALL of the way down, which I love. Can you get over how versatile this dress is? Can’t say I thought that it was at first either, but was so pleasantly surprised! If you want more 1 Dress 3 Ways inspo see THIS POST. Have a great day, lovelies! xo
nedda maltby says August 15, 2017 at 10:53 AM How do you think this deess would work while pregnant? I’m looking for something to wear to a wedding in October. I’m in Florida so it will be plenty warm still. I’ll be 27 weeks pregnant by that time. Not sure if it will be too voluminous or not? Nedda
Style Your Senses says August 15, 2017 at 12:07 PM I think that it would be gorgeous on a 27 week bump!!!! It’s quite flowy but to me doesn’t add unnecessary volume! xo
