Nursery Art Selections + Custom Frames May 4, 2017 | Okay you guys I am so behind on posting about our One Room Challenge progress…but honestly we all knew this would happen, right?! I couldn’t let this Week 5 go by without giving you a quick rundown on the art we chose for the nursery, as the pieces are some of my favorite elements! If you need to catch up on our plans see Week 1 HERE | Week 2 HERE . I’ve mentioned it before, but I knew that I wanted to go bold for this nursery and let it be a stark contrast to our older daughter’s room right down the hall. When Austin based artist Hayley Mitchell posted this image on Instagram, I knew that I could design an entire space around this piece…and that’s exactly what I did. See all of Hayley’s art HERE + shop her prints HERE Le Lady Lula Print Turn on your JavaScript to view content Mandalay Bay Frame Once I settled on the art, I knew that I’d want Framebridge to professionally frame it all. Remember when I used their gorgeous frames in our shared playroom + office reveal?? I cannot say enough good things about both of my experiences with Framebridge. They are so efficient, fast, professional and deliver such an amazing product for a super fair price. Here’s how the process works: -Browse through these extensive selection of frames, preview your art in each and decide on which one is right for your piece. -Upload your digital file (see the piece below) or mail in physical art (what I did for the piece above). If you don’t have a tube or a box…they send one and even if you do…they always cover shipping! -They custom build your frame within 3 days of receiving the art and then ship your piece back to you within 1-2 weeks. I’ve had the very best experience working with Framebridge and I truly recommend their services, I know that you’ll be impressed. Also, THESE make the best Mother’s Day gifts ever and they can be ordered in time for Mother’s Day through 5/7! A while back, I stumbled upon the cutest Etsy shop and was completely goog-ly eyed over all of the gorgeous script and fun sayings. I also loved that nearly everything was an instant download so that you could print it yourself and save tons of money. I chose THIS PRINT and was able to quickly download it and then upload it to Framebridge to be printed and framed. You could also print it yourself at a place like FedEx or Costco and use this as a very inexpensive, large scale art option. A few weeks ago our dear friends came to visit us from Austin and brought with them the most special gift in the form of this piece below. It’s by an Austin based artist names Jared Duntin and the name of the piece is “Mom’s Thistle.” Originally requested by his own mother because she felt that thistle were both beautiful and tough and really embodied what it meant to be a mother. Isn’t that the truth?! Want to know the most incredible part? In 2000 Jared was involved in a diving accident and is now paralyzed from the neck down. How did he paint this, you ask? Solely with his mouth! It’s such an amazing story, that my words would never do justice…watch this video to be inspired by this wonderfully talented artist and his family! See all of his works HERE. Mom’s Thistle I cannot believe that next week is reveal week!!!! We photographed the room today and I am SO excited to show it all to you…stay tuned!!! Now see what everyone else was up to this week HERE. Happy weekend! xoxo
