Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | Fashion Over 50

Good Morning, ladies! I have a special guest today and I can’t wait for you guys to meet her! My sweet mama comes every year to help me with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I absolutely love it. Poor thing, I also ask her to step completely out of her comfort zone and try on things for you guys and do a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Fashion Over 50 post! She’s darling and looks great in everything, so it’s fun to see what she picks. More about my mom: she’ll be 60 this year (would have never guessed, right?!) and she’s retired so she likes comfortable, practical things that she can still style into a cute, pulled together outfit. She picked all of this herself and even took some mirror selfies for you guys! Thanks mama!

Stats: She’s 5’4 and a size 6 but always tries to buy things too big (we are working on that)

One of her absolute favorite things from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale (which was also one of mine, so that should tell you how GOOD it is), was this cozy side slit tunic. It’s buttery soft, an awesome under $50 price and comes in quite a few colors. She’s wearing Mediums here and decided to actually buy the black version. She’s also wearing and loving the Absolution jeans that I rave about….aren’t they cute on her?!

I tried on this top in white and didn’t love it but we both agree that the stripe version is a winner! It’s high low and has elastic around the front to give the impression of a front tuck, while still covering the booty in the back. She’s wearing a M here.

Also, look at these studded booties! These were one of her favorite pairs and I love how she paired them back to basics, so that they are a fun pop of fashion in the outfit! She’s wearing a M here.

Another favorite of hers was the 2-1 wrap cardigan. She owns the one from last year and always tells me how much she loves it, so I think that she was just as happy as I was to see an under $50 version on  the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! She went with this cobalt blue and I could not love it more on her! I love seeing it worn as more of a fashion sweater than a basic in this blue and adore how it pairs with black! She’s wearing a small in this and we both agree to size down.

Cozy 2-1 Cardigan | Black Denim | Studded Booties

Funny because I had no idea that she tried this on and actually didn’t see it myself, but this balloon sleeve cardigan is dang cute and she said it was really soft. It’s a great price at around $50 and comes in quite a few colors. I love how she styled it with dark wash denim and mules+ black denim and booties to change up the looks.

Another favorite that was mutual between us was this slouchy pullover! We both opted for fashion colors (remember I styled it in THIS POST?) and agree that the price is fabulous for a great go-to top! She’s wearing a M here.

This outfit is so her style and I love it! A cute fashion colored cardigan, nice dark wash skinnies and a fun mule! She bought this cardigan in 2 colors last year (it’s a steal at $30!) and opted to buy it in this rust fashion color this year! It looks so good on her. She’s wearing a Small in the cardigan and we both agree to size down.

Another darling top that I had no idea that she tried on and I wish that I would have seen it for myself! It’s by Madewell (which she loves as much as we do!). It has the cutest flap back and pairs great with jeans. She’s wearing THIS $12 double scoop tank underneath) and sizes a M here.

Lightweight Crossback Sweater | Dark Wash Skinnies | Suede Mules

Her other favorite was this stripe tee from Caslon and now that she’s styled it to many ways, I want it too! It’s a great layering piece under cardigans or jackets for the Fall and offers a fun color palette to work from!  She’s wearing a M here, but I told her she needs a Small 😉

The Wedge Sneakers, DUH! She also admitted that she didn’t know for sure if she was going to like them and once she actually got them in put them on she was a believer. She said that she can see herself wearing them all of the time withe both denim and leggings. She also mentioned that should she have known how great they were, she wishes she would have gotten THESE last year (still available). THESE are also a great option!

She also stocked up on these tees again! She got another white and the stripe.

She also snagged THESE booties, which I think will be so cute on her!

She bought a fresh new pair of OUR FAVORITE LEGGINGS because she wears them just as much as I do!

She splurged on the GlopPro!!!! She actually bought it for me last Christmas and has been intrigued ever since! I was so thrilled that she decided to get one because I know she’ll love it! I also didn’t realize that the Anniversary set comes with the eye roller…that’s a great value!

She also splurged a little on these Madewell loafers! She loved the color and thinks that they will be her go-to Fall shoe for nearly anything!
