Nordstrom Anniversary Sale TOP PICKS!

Good Morning, Gals! One of the most exciting sales of the year is on the verge of launching and I’m going to make this super easy for you! Here’s how it works: Nordstrom Ambassador cardholders can begin shopping online TODAY at 12:30pm EST and this post will be a one stop shop to help them navigate the massive Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Tomorrow the sale opens to ALL cardholders for online shopping and hopefully you guys who aren’t shopping today will still find this post helpful for shopping tomorrow. BUT I will also have another post go live tomorrow with more in-depth fit reviews and what I actually bought from the sale. I’ve shopped the sale for nearly 10 years now, so I feel like I have a good grip on strategy—which I tried to implement in this post. Here’s my best advice:

How to Shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:

Style Your Senses | Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Top Picks!

Ok, once you have those things covered, here are my personal recommendations from the Sale. I combed through THOUSANDS of SKUs and really really really tried to be selective about what I’m recommending. I’m only recommending brands that I already know and love (and ones that you’ve liked bought before) and am only recommending things that I think are actually a GREAT value (lots of things under $30 here!). Consider this a concise list of my initial favorites. I plan to try more on today and report back, but I think that these 40 items are no fail. I separated them out by BEST BASICS and BEST FASHION and am dishing below as to why I chose each. Happy Shopping!

 

ONE | V NECK COZY SWEATER $49 ($79 AFTER SALE)

I love the fit of this one with the thicker V neck. This yellow color also feels very fun and fresh!

TWO  + THREE | COWL NECK WAFFLE SWEATER $29 ($49 AFTER SALE)

*AWESOME DEAL* The cowl neck, waffle and fun colors make this a MUST HAVE. I’m recommending buying this in multiple colors.

FOUR | BALLOON SLEEVE SWEATER

The updated sleeve on this sweater makes it feel fresh, but still a great basic. 

FIVE | MOCK NECK COZY SWEATER $45.90 ($69 AFTER SALE)

Another sweater that I’m recommending considering in multiple colors. It’s a great silhouette and I’m going to grab it in a fashion color (the pink) and a more basic color like black. 

SIX | LIGHTWEIGHT TUNIC $29 ($49 AFTER SALE)

So many of you asked for more tunics and this is a great casual option that you could dress up with jeans or dress down with leggings. It’s lightweight enough for warmer Fall climates and can be layered on top of too.

SEVEN | EVERYDAY COZY V NECK SWEATER $29.90 ($49 AFTER SALE)

Another great V neck, with just enough detail and at an AMAZING price!

EIGHT | HIGH LOW TUNIC SWEATER $29.90 ($49 AFTER SALE)

I bought a similar tunic like this one last year and wore the heck out of it! I like this one even better because it’s longer in the back. Great for leggings and sneakers or jeans and booties. Not a bad idea to buy 2 colors at under $30. 

NINE | COTTON BLEN BOYFRIEND BLAZER $38.90 ($59 AFTER SALE)

I love the length of this casual sweater blazer. An elevated casual piece that you can wear lots of ways, especially grabbing it at under $40!

TEN | EVERYDAY TUNIC TSHIRT $18.90 ($29 AFTER SALE)

It’s so hard to find a tunic tshirt and this one is actually great!! And under $20! Lots of colors and a great transition piece. 

ELEVEN | EVERYDAY MULE $59 ($89 AFTER SALE)

THESE WILL SELL OUT. I got a pair of cognac mules 3 Sales ago and I’m still wearing them. I think that these will be a nice upgrade and I love the updated shape. You will wear these ALL OF THE TIME—trust me! They come in multiple colors too.

TWELVE | SWIFT RUN SNEAKER $64 ($89 AFTER SALE)

THESE WILL SELL OUT. Love these! Have them in black and always miss out on the white! You can bet your behind I’m snagging these!

THIRTEEN | WATERPROOF SNEAKER BOOTIE $79 ($120 AFTER SALE)

Y’all know I’ve been wearing sneaker booties for years and if you don’t have them yet—these are an AMAZING deal! These will likely sell out quickly.

*FOURTEEN | POINTED TOE BOOTIE $99 ($149 AFTER SALE)

THESE WILL SELL OUT. These are my TOP BOOTIE PICK. They have a leg flattering pointed toe, overall great shape and modest heel. BUY THESE FIRST!

*FIFTEEN | HIGH RISE SKINNIES $85 ($128)

THESE WILL SELL OUT. It’s no secret that I love Madewell high rise jeans. They are flattering on nearly everyone! I’m thrilled that this year they have a high waisted black pair available! Madewell as a brand sells out fast, so if you want these jeans, make sure to add to cart!

SIXTEEN | PRIMA SKINNINES

These are one of the top items on the NSALE every single year. They aren’t great for my body, but if you aren’t curvy these are a cute fit!

SEVENTEEN | CASUAL OTK BOOTS $159 ($240 AFTER SALE)

Need a casual OTK boot for the Winter? These are my top pick! Love the color, shape and overall look of them.

POTENTIAL SELL OUT. I added this as a basic because I wear mine EVERY SINGLE DAY and it’s been one of my best investments. I truly love it and you save nearly $1,000 on Anniversary!

NINETEEN | DAINTY LAYERING NECKLACE $52 ($80 AFTER THE SALE)

I love this dainty gold necklace. It’s adjustable so that it really works with whatever neckline you’re wearing, making it a great everyday staple.

TWENTY | COZY MOCK NECK TUNIC SWEATER $99 ($148 AFTER SALE)

I adore this style of sweater. It’s a great one to wear with skinnies and/or leggings and boots

ONE | COZY FITTED SNAKE PRINT SWEATER $37 ($58 AFTER SALE)

Snake print is still going strong into Fall and this cozy fleece, fitted sweater is such a score! Also in solids.

TWO | BOYFRIEND BLAZER CARDI $45 ($69 AFTER SALE)

This blazer cardigan is a great piece in this fashion color, rust colored hues are SO hot this Fall.

THREE | CAMO CARGO JACKET $58.98 ($89 AFTER SALE)

POTENTIAL SELL OUT. This a GREAT print to throw on with easy basics. I’ve gotten a ton of wear out of mine and I think that grabbing this one under $60 is an awesome deal!

FOUR | DRAPE MOTO JACKET $65 ($90 AFTER SALE)

I have 3 moto style moto jackets in this post because I really really love them for Fall and Winter. They are a great southern staple for mild seasons and layer so well over a ton of tops. Not only that but they look super chic. This drape front moto is a steal at $65 and the buttery ivory color is a beautiful take on Fall. 

FIVE | LEOPARD OPEN FRONT CARDI IN COZY FLEECE $45.90 ($69 AFTER SALE)

I adore this open front cardigan. Not only is it cozy fleece, but it’s a lightweight fashion option for layering. It also comes in solid.

SIX | SHERPA MIXED MOTO $58.90 ($89)

I liked this moto as more of a casual option and the mixed sherpa will look awesome with jeans and booties.

SEVEN | STRIPE CREW NECK TEE $18.90 ($29 AFTER SALE)

THIS WILL SELL OUT. This stripe tee sold out in a heartbeat last year! A fun, fashion take on a basic, cute for layering and a STEAL at under $20!

THESE MAY SELL OUT. I will be grabbing these. Comfy, understated print and around $50—SOLD!

TEN | LEOPARD MENSWEAR LOAFER $60 ($110 AFTER SALE)

Menswear is still a major trend and I loved the combination of the leopard print and shape of these menswear loafers. How adorable with cuffed boyfriend jeans and a lightweight sweater for Fall?!

ELEVEN | SNAKESKIN PERFORATED BOOTIE $90 ($140 AFTER SALE)

THESE WILL SELL OUT. Love the shape and breathability of these…not to mention the trendy snake print. Pair them with a lightwash skinny, white tee and you are effortlessly chic and on trend. 

TWELVE | BLACK MOTO JACKET $64 ($89 AFTER SALE)

BUY THIS. I have this similar moto jacket from last year (same brand) and if you followed along this past Fall and Winter you know that I wore the heck out of it. I plan to do the same this year, so there will be lots of styling ideas. 

THIRTEEN | MCM BAG $529 ($725)

OMGGGG MCM on sale!!!! WHATTTT. This is by far my favorite bag from the sale, and while still expensive, you’re getting a designer bag at an unheard of discount. MCM is wonderful quality, so this one will last you for years. 

FOURTEEN | LEOPARD BOOTIE $87 ($130 AFTER SALE)

How stinking cute are these?? If your basic booties are covered, nab these as a fashion pair to wear with black jeans and a fun pink sweater this Fall.

I bought these last year and was SHOCKED at how much I wore them. They are insanely comfortable (with a modest heel), they actually stay in place, and they look wonderful with jeans or leggings. Trust me and grab them for this price!

SEVENTEEN | LAYERING NECKLACE $25 ($38 AFTER SALE)

I’ve gotten quite a few great layering pieces from the Anniversary Sale and I think that this dainty celestial one will be my score this year. It’s easy to wear everyday and super on trend.

EIGHTEEN | EAR CRAWLERS BY KENDRA SCOTT $45 ($68 AFTER SALE)

I’ve been gravitating towads smaller earrings and studs and these are one of the first pair of Kendra Scott earrings to catch my eye in a white. I think that $45 is a great price and I will be buying these for sure.

NINETEEN | BLACK MICHELE WATCH $329 ($495 AFTER SALE)

If you like the thought of Michele, but can’t commit to a metal one, these rubber watches are very sleek and discounted over $100 during the sale! I think that black watches in Fall and Winter are so chic. 

TWENTY | GOOD AMERICAN CROP FLARES $119.90 ($179 AFTER SALE)

These are the exact same silhouette of Good Americans that I wear ALL THE TIME. I’m telling you—if you are curvy you’ve GOT to buy these. I love them with mules or flats and a great sweater or button up for Fall. They are insanely flattering. 

TWENTY ONE | GOOD AMERICAN HIGH WAISTED DISTRESSED BLACK JEANS $119.90 ($179 AFTER SALE)

I cannot WAIT to get my hands on these. They are probably one of the Top 3 things that I’ve been eyeing in the Sale. It’s not secret that I’m a HUGE Good American fan and I’m waiting on go to score this pair.
