Current Things That Lawson Loves with buybuy Baby! July 7, 2017 | *This post was sponsored by buybuy Baby, but please know that I own and love all of these products and use them daily for our infant. All photography, opinions and content are my own. Thank you for supporting brands who support Style Your Senses* Good morning, guys! Can you believe that it’s already Friday?? I simply LOVE short Holiday weeks, especially in the Summer. We are doing a major happy dance because we already get another weekend with Daddy AND my mom is coming in tomorrow for an entire week! Today I’m partnering with buybuy Baby again for another #babyhood post, sharing what new products I’m loving as well as how little Lawson is doing. What I’ve learned over the past few weeks is that my two babies are not the same. I know you’re thinking, DUH Mallory, but hear me out. When getting ready for Lawson, I naturally stocked up on all of the essentials that I loved for Landry…thinking that Lawson would love them too. After going through quite a few trials and errors, I quickly came to the conclusion that your babies will simply not be the same not only in looks and personality, but also in which products they love and take to. I’ve taken many trips back to buybuyBaby over the past 11 weeks to try out a few different products in an effort to keep sweet baby L happy. Here are a few things that we are loving in our newborn/infant transition… Wifi Monitor This monitor was a game changer compared to the one we used for Landry. Since it’s Wifi enabled, we are able to see our sweet gal from anywhere with a compatible smart device. Not only is it easier since we really don’t have to tote the large screen monitor around, up and down the stairs, but it’s also great so that we can check on her if we ever leave her with a sitter. I do leave the monitor beside my bed for night time and I wanted to show you how clear and bright the screen is. The picture is amazing and the sound quality is great. Project Nursery Smartband Another product that I’ve been loving is this Project Nursery Smartband. You guys already know that I think that the gals over at PN are quite amazing and when they launched their branded products I knew that they would be practical, cool and innovative! This band is all of that and more! Think about having a fitness band to track all of your personal movement and activities and then also be able to track all things baby related starting from pregnancy! I love how the Smartband comes with interchangeable straps! It makes it easy to coordinate back to whatever you’re wearing and looks super cute mixed in with a bracelet stack (see below). I wear the black when I’m working out and then change out the blush pink and the light grey when I’m running around. Once you download the app on your smartphone and sync up the band you are able to track everything from fetal movement when the baby is in the womb to nursing, bottle feeding, diaper changes and napping when the baby is born. It really helps new parents get into the groove of things and even aids in establishing a schedule for the baby. I love the reminders feature and tracking which side I’m due to nurse on…I can NEVER remember. This is definitely something to add to your registry or a great gift for a second time mom, making her whirlwind transition a little easier to keep up with! Looks like it’s time for a nap around here…. Ingenuity 2-1 Swing to Seat True story… Landry hated her swing. Like could.not.stand.it so again (rookie mistake) I thought that Lawson would follow suit. I was so confident that I went so far as to sell the dang thing. Well, naturally Lawson loves a swing so I was in the market to find a new one. What I personally didn’t like about our old swing was how big and clunky it was. It took up so much real estate in our living room and just felt way more bulky than it needed to be. I went in to buybuy Baby and asked one of the associates to aid me in my search. I told him my concerns about the space and what Lawson seemed to like and he pointed me in the direction of this Ingenuity 2-1 Swing for three reasons: 1. High quality 2. Compact fold 3. Converts to a comfy seat as baby grows. Not only is it a super compact swing, but it also folds up nearly flat. This makes it really easy to store away at night if you like a clean living space, AND really easy to travel with it, which is amazing when you find something that baby likes that can be taken along on road trips. I also love that once the timer on the swing expires (and say you have a sleeping baby in there) they have polarized magnets on the base and one on the actual swing, keeping slight movement going on the entire time. It’s a great way to transition from the abrupt stop of most swings. Lawson also really digs the plush animals, so there’s that too 😉 Chicco Natural Fit Pacifier Another major major different between the two girls is which pacifier they like. Lawson definitely took to a pacifier right away, but was having trouble keeping it in her mouth. I knew that some of this was normal for a newborn, but she was really struggling and it would frustrate her. Chicco sent me a few pacis to try and I had them stored away thinking that Lawson would surely like the same one as her big sis. One day I just decided to give them a try and it was like a night and day difference! These natural fit pacifiers have been a lifesaver in our house…I do not let one leave my sight! You can see that the design of the nipple is specific for newborns to help them keep it in their mouths and it’s super super super lightweight also making it easy to latch. I was so pleasantly surprised at how much she likes these and have since stocked up on many more. Definitely give these a try! Munchkin Latch Bottle Landry was such a little turkey and refused a bottle more often than not. I was determined to find one that Lawson loved early on so that we could easily transition back and fourth from bottle to breast depending on the day. I tried quite a few and this Munchkin Latch bottle was the winner by a long shot. She took to it immediately and have never turned it down once. What a relief for mama! It’s also a relief that they don’t have 10,000 parts and are easy for me to clean! I hope that you guys enjoyed this post! Please please forward it along to any expecting mamas or moms with newborns!
