MET Gala Favs May 7, 2013 | So the infamous MET Gala (a.k.a. “The Fashion Prom,” “The Superbowl of Fashion,” etc.) was last night where the “Who’s Who” of the fashion world break out their best of best dresses as it’s one of the most photographed fashion events of the year…all for a great cause of course. Boy was I wishing I was on the UES last night to see it all! This years theme was “Punk: Chaos to Couture.” While I am a huge fan of a well-themed party, I must admit that this was not my favorite theme. Oh well, next year Ms. Wintour. Here are some of my favs from the night…. The Winner!!! It’s rare (although it has happened) that I don’t like the fashion choices SJP makes. This one was on-theme and I love every bit of it…I think that this would surely make Carrie proud! Sarah Jessica Parker in Giles Deacon Amen for an unflattering photo of Gisele…but love the dress…omg her legs…hate her. Gisele Bundchen in Anthony Vaccarello Sienna Miller looking boho chic glam amazing as per usual. Sienna Miller in Burberry Fashion crush: Blake Lively Blake Lively in Gucci That cape is to die for. Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney Hi-Lo done right with amazing leggings and pointed pumps: perfect Jessica Biel in Giambattista Valli Anne-that peroxide blonde is no bueno but your gown IS! Anne Hathaway in Valentino T-Swift: this is your look girl! Ditch the red lips and go with the nude…you look so gorg. I love that she is becoming J. Mendel’s little muse. Taylor Swift in J. Mendel She’s baaaack! Loving the glam Katie Holmes strutting on the red carpet again and I’m always a sucker for a backless gown. Katie Holmes in Calvin Klein Another cut-out dress…loving this trend Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors It’s NO secret that I love a leopard print. Normally this might be overkill, but J. Lo rocked it like none other! Jennifer Lopez in ??? Can’t find the designer but would love to know. I do know she was Michael Kors’ guest… Stacy Keibler in Rachel Roy Another cut-out piece captured my heart. Emma Watson in Prabal Gurung. Lastly, Ms. Wintour was it opposite day? The theme is punk and you look like you’re going to an English Garden party? Anyway, it’s Chanel and it’s stunning. As are you. Always. Anna Wintour in Chanel. Which ones were your favs? Cheers to high fashion!
