One Room Challenge: Master Bedroom Makeover | Week 5 November 4, 2015 | Wow, I cannot believe that we are in Week 5 of our 6 Week Challenge. I had major plans for a lots of progress to share this week and, well, things didn’t quite shake out that way. A few late deliveries, a re-scheduled lighting install and one sick babe later…I’m feeling a little behind on updates. Lots of big things are actually happening today, which stinks because I’ll have to wait until the reveal to share them all. The light fixture finally gets installed, carpet goes down, mirrors go up, curtain rods go up, and art gets delivered. Eeeeeee talk about a Happy Wednesday! If you’re behind… Catch up here: Week One | Read about my plans Week Two | Read about my paint dilemma Week Three | Lamps + Mirror Deets Week Four | Paint Color + Great Sources I nearly fell over when I saw this guy at Hobby Lobby. Its HUGE and has a great place in the room… A sneak peek of the finished piece for over the bed!!!! I am dying over it and had major heart flutters at every sneak peek that I got. Miles is an artist from Columbia, South Carolina and we connected over Instagram a few months back (don’t you just love Social Media?!). She commissioned this piece strictly from a few snaps of the room and the mood board and I cannot tell you how perfect it is. Such a true talent. I will have an entire post sharing more about her and her work, but for now see it HERE…I cannot wait to show you the piece! Excuse the long overdue need for a manicure, but here are the curtain hardware components. I cannot wait to see them hanging and cannot get over how easy the whole process was. Will share more about it next week… Lots of sneaks of here and a peep at the light fixture shades… Picked up some easy pieces to accessorize with…. UPDATED SNEAK!!!!! My carpet arrived late yesterday and even though the light is awful, I had to snap a quick pic for you guys. It’s beautiful beyond words and will be a great source of light for the floor. It was my first time working with Karastan Carpet, and I was overwhelmed by how much I loved their entire assortment. It took me days of mulling over the options to finally choose one. I ended up going with the Patola Collection and chose the Almond Cream color option. I love the understated pattern and cannot wait to see how it further brightens the space. I always get questions on our vintage leopard rug in our living room and if you are on the hunt for for an animal print carpet…look NO further….Karastan has a collection beyond compare. Is this leopard print not TO.DIE.FOR?!?! Look for some updates on the big install on Instagram today…including my amazing light from Bellacor! Here’s the updated punch list: New bedding…ivory, piping and monograms New headboard…something with some structure New nightstands…I really like the ones we have already, but found even better ones! New Lamps…adding some glam here New mirrors for over the night stands…If you hunt back on Instagram you’ll get a sneak peek of these Art above the bed….Secured this and am DYING!
