Low Carb Mocktails for Summer July 10, 2019 | *This post is sponsored by Macy’s and ShopStyle As much as I love the sweet sweet Summertime, I definitely find it the hardest time to stick to being healthy! I always find myself wanting a cold beverage around the pool or patio and most of the time I don’t make the healthiest choices. Those choices really add up over the course of the Summer and I’d love to avoid it this year! I set out to make some fun and healthy low carb mocktails and not only are they good, but I also found that serving them in beautiful stemware takes it to the next level, so much so that you don’t feel like you’re missing out on any of the fun! Vera Wang Wedgewood Metropolitan Goblets Fun fact: I love place settings and stemware. I have quite a few beautiful place settings that have been handed down to me, but I’ve never invested in the stemware to complete them. When I was getting married and preparing a registry (YEARS AGO, aka before even Pinterest was around), I didn’t think that I’d need nice stemware and didn’t even bother putting much of it on my registry. Looking back, that was not smart at all and even though I didn’t need it years ago, I would have been so grateful to have it now. We love entertaining and having people over and having nice stemware on hand really is a huge perk. When I saw this Vera Wang Wedgewood collection, I jumped at the chance to try it and am truly SO impressed with the beauty and quality of the goblets that I chose. So much so, that I plan to buy the other stemware pieces to complete the collection. I chose from the Metropolitan line because the lines are super sleek and modern but still have a very feminine stem and feel. It’s the perfect neutral mix to go with all of my place settings and I love the hand of them. I started with goblets because I think that overall they are the most functional. From cocktails, to mocktails, to water they are the most versatile as far as what beverages they can hold. Since I try to keep a count of my macros daily, I really wanted to come up with come refreshing Summer Mocktails that wouldn’t throw me off track but also still kept me feeling fun and a little fancy. I’m happy to say that not only are they yummy and low carb + cal, but serving them in the Vera Wang Wedgewood goblets really took it up a notch more. I’ve been making a batch of popsicles every Sunday night (recipes below) and enjoying a little mocktail on the patio in the evenings while the girls swim. It’s a wonderful, healthy alternative and the combinations are really endless!
