It’s Fall Ya’ll! September 24, 2013 | Eeeeee!!! Can you feel my excitement?! Fall is my absolute faaaaavorite time of year! The temperatures dropped as if perfectly on cue here in NC as if to welcome the first day of Fall. It didn’t get warmer than 75 here yesterday and I was absolutely in heaven. I was reminded once again why I love Fall so much. Does the changing season remind you of certain things? Here are a few things that the cool crisp air reminded me of today…. Gumbo: The minute the temperature drops below 80 degrees in South Louisiana…you have to make your first gumbo. I cheated and made one last weekend…after all it is cooler in NC. It was DE-lish! The leaves here are gradually going from green to yellow. Honestly, I think it’s worth it to move to North Carolina just to experience the leaves change….it’s stunning. S’moresssss!! In my best ecstatic kids voice! We just got a fire pit for the deck and I have already stocked up on the necessary supplies. Lattes. I am not a huge hot coffee drinker in the sweltering summer heat, so as it cools off I will be welcoming my lattes back with open arms. Leopard is surely my Fall neutral. FOOTBALL! Geaux Tigers! This Volcano no. 6 candle isn’t really characteristic of Fall but for some reason the scent reminds me of being cozied up on a cool day. Hands down my favorite candle. Ray. I may be crazy but I totally correlate certain music with certain times of year. Fall is for crooners like Ray Lamontagne, David Gray, Ben Harper, and Amos Lee. Count these amongst my love of boots, mums, pumpkins, Halloween, gingersnaps, tights, and big cozy sweaters and you understand why Fall is my favorite season, right?! Stay tuned..this week I’m also sharing my favorite pumpkin dip! Happy Fall, Ya’ll!
